This game must be within the environs of 50/50. Shocking it is not on TV! Just can’t see Monaghan winning. Tyrone by 5 for me. What.eejit said Tyrone would win by 5.

What has happened to Armagh? In reality is this McGeeney's last year unless he can deliver something major via the backdoor? McGeeney has been a big disappointment. The turnover of players has been huge, for various reasons. No settled team, inexperienced, and just not enough natural footballers (although with the last one, that's the same with a lot of counties these days). I do wonder what they've been doing in La Manga and for the months previous. It is shocking that two points from play is all we could muster over 70+ minutes. A run like last year might keep McGeeney there for 2019, but it makes no odds either way. We are so far off even being contenders in Ulster. Maybe an early exit from the qualifiers might be a blessing.

If this is correct, what is the situation there?

I think Paul Hughes from Cross is there. No St Patrick's men afaik. But Cross aren't the team they were. The last two county champions, Maghery and Harps, have 4 and 3. The thought a few years ago was that Cross were hindering county success because they had too many players involved. Now they have little to none involved, and they're blamed again. It's mad, Ted.

When you see it written down on paper you realise what a poor team Cork are at the moment. Tipp must be licking their lips 16. Anthony Casey ( Kiskeam) 17. Sam Ryan (St Finbarr's) 18. James Loughrey (Mallow) 19. Matthew Taylor (Mallow) 20. Cian Kiely (Ballincollig) 21. Ronan O Toole (Eire Og) 22. Peter Kelleher (Kilmichael) 23. Cathal Vaughan ( Iveleary) 24. Michael Hurley (Castlehaven) 25. Stephen Sherlock (St Finbarr's) 26. Brian Hurley (Castlehaven) 27. Paul Kerrigan (Nemo Rangers) Between the starters and the subs, it's very hard to see that many there who you would even list as possibles in terms of All-Star nominations, never mind being likelies or dead-certs to be involved in the conversation. There was little to nothing in the league to suggest Cork's football fortunes are going to improve any time soon. 3 wins, 2 against the 2 relegated teams of Down and Louth. Their other win was against Meath with loses to Tipp, Cavan, Clare and Roscommon. Tipp to beat Cork and Cork to exit in the qualifiers.

Decent midfield and HF line. Not too sure about the rest.

How many Cork lads would get into the Kerry team. This isn’t saying Kerry are fantastic altogether but it does show you that this Cork team doesn’t jump out with quality. Arguably Ian Maguire and Mark Collins would get into the Kerry team, after that im struggling

When it comes to players, you have what you have, no more. Cork have been struggling for some time now, their loss is also our loss.

I would definitely have Mark Collins on the Kerry team for what it's worth. Very good player I think.

In fairness you would take powter and kerrigan aswell. Maguire is one of the top midfielders in the country imo

I think we could see the first major shock of the football championship today.
Yes, I think Cork might just beat Tipp.

That Moorefield CHB James Murray seems a great player...surprised he is not on the team.
Also, why is this game on in Tullamore....

I think we could see the first major shock of the football championship today. Yes, I think Cork might just beat Tipp. I think it would be more of a shock if Tipp lost to Cork today. Just look at the teams Cork have beaten the last while. In this year's league Cork beat Louth (relegated), Down (relegated) and Meath. In last year's championship Cork beat Waterford and Tipperary (both by a single point) In last year's league Cork beat Fermanagh (relegated) and Derry (relegated) In the 2016 championship Cork beat Limerick and Longford. In that run of games Tipp have beaten them twice.

Very little in the heel of the hunt but the fact is that Tipp are the bookies favourites for this game, so it could hardly be called a major shock if Cork lost.

Tipp won by two points in 2016. Cork won by one point in 2017. Either side winning will hardly be a shock.
Throwing the eye on the subs, Cork look like they can call on more firepower off the bench so i expect Cork to close it out in the final ten minutes.

I think Buck's comment about a Cork win being a major shock was just a little bit tongue in cheek to be fair lads.

Good win for Laois against Westmeath. Sugrue has made a positive impact.
