Cork stroll to an 11 point victory in Thurles to progress to the Munster final. Have Cork managed to improve that much or were Tipperary that bad?

Cork must be favourites now for the Munster championship meanwhile Laois restore the natural order in the Leinster championsip with a big win over Westmeath. Tipp are disappointing.

I know we have had a lot of discussion here about the relative merits of our goalkeepers and of course there are few keepers who do not make mistakes. If mistakes are made by which ever keeper is selected during the year I sincerely hope he is not abandoned in the manner the Liverpool keeper was thrown under the bus tonight by his colleagues after the match. It was heartbreaking to see the poor man in such a distraught state without one of his colleagues or manager rushing to console him during the most horrible moments of his life. I would expect more class from such a respected club irrespective of the disappointment. Very likely that man will need in depth counselling.

Veteran Im not a liverpool supporter or indeed a huge soccer supporter in general but to be fair after that keeping perfirmance i think more than he will need some form of therapy. He is being paid ridiculous wages to do a specific job,, in any mans language he fkuced up royaly tonight. I feel for him but imagine if our keeper did something like that twice in an All ireland Final. Id find it hard to be pragmatic in my analysis to be honest.

Con Houlihan said once that there is no theatre like the look on a goal keepers face after he makes a mistake. We saw it with Paddy Cullen in 1978. We saw it with Rob Hennelly in 2016 and with Paul Durcan of Donegal in 2014 after gifting that goal to Donaghy.
Professional soccer players are mercenaries to a large extent and his colleagues didnt lend the poor hoor much consolation tonight as veteran says.

Cork favourites? Good luck! I’ll take your bet Was at the match last night. A couple of observations, Connolly was very impressive as was Ian maguire and ruairi Deane at half forward. Cork looked physically strong and were very direct. Tactically I thought cork were better than tipp. From cork kick-outs they drove it over the tipp press and the the runners particularly maguire made great runs up the middle. Having said that tipp missed two goal chances in first half which would probably have changed game if taken.

However I still think we are better and to be honest- their league form didn’t exactly light it up

Cork favourites? Good luck! I’ll take your bet Cork will be entitled to have their tails up playing in their new pad against Kerry rebuilding, assuming Clare are beaten first.

I agree that Cork will be all out to beat Kerry in a munster final in their new stadium. You say Kerry are rebuilding. I agree. But is that a regressive step? I would expect Kerry to be 20% better in 2018 than 2017 .....this is assuming EF goes with 5 or 6 new guys and that Kerry have come up with a defense that isnt wide open when teams run at them. All those practice sessions behind closed doors will surely yield some improvement tactically.

Yes I know he is a professional and being paid big wages etc but he is still human and was playing on the biggest night of his career. Being a player in any position involves making mistakes as Zindane and others on that pitch could testify. Who would have said post Berlin 2006 that Zindane would achieve what he has as a manager. He could just be remembered as an extremely talented but flawed player who both won and lost a World Cup for his country.. It doesn't say much for Karius's colleagues that they didn't come near him at the final whistle and for a club that has rightly prided itself on solidarity with its supporters in matters of life and death, it was very poor behaviour. I certainly hope those players and Klopp get a gentle reminder of that fact at some stage.

Cork, with a win behind them and playing at home, are an entirely different proposition to Tipp in Killarney. Potentially, that's two tough enough games for Kerry in Munster this year. This should do us no harm at all for down the road.

Kerry were gone very stale for that game.

Was listening to news talk earlier And they were saying alot of the Kerry lads in the media have had a pop off Cian O'Neill in recent times. They were saying something must have happened with the team in his last year involved.

Full-time Kildare 1-10 Carlow 2-14
Seismic result in Tullamore. O'Neil won't survive that one. 11 played 11 lost in 2018. Carlow's first win over Kildare in the championship since 1953.

Half-time: Longford 0-07 Meath 0-07
Leinster football is all over the shop, Wicklow beating Offaly, Carlow beating both Louth and Kildare.
Big chance for Laois and John Sugrue to contest the Leister final although Carlow will have their tails up.

I’d more say that Leinster football is at a terrible standard- outwith Dublin- rest of the counties are abysmal really.
O Neill will walk after that and on the former kerry players having a slight pop off him at times- I had noticed that too.
Those goggles weren’t much use to Kildare

No wides by Carlow today apparently.
Why didnt Cork and Tipp footballers play at 4pm today in Thurles after the hurling. Only a few thousand in Thurles last night for the football game.
Tipp minor hurlers beat Cork so presumably that started at noon.
