Programmes are probably printed from last week so wonder will both teams stick with that and then make changes on Sunday.
Will see what Monaghan go with.

Fair play to TG4 and not a subscription in sight! The best €40 million the state spends each year.

I really think that team is named because the program is already printed. Many changes will be announced on sunday

Almost always, when Eamonn is facing the same team for the second time in a week he names an unchanged team. It's unlikely that Jack Barry, Barry O'Sullivan or Shanahan will play. I think Eamonn would like to give game time to Clifford and James O' if they are available.

Reminds me of the qualifier against Antrim in 2009 when the proverbial dogs in the street knew that Gooch and Tomas were dropped, yet the same team that played Sligo the previous week was named. We will definitely see changes in the team and probably the panel as well.

As a Kerry GAA rugby fan TG4 are superb, if only I could understand the language, There are language classes in Tralee for almost every language known to man, but not for Irish I think. Maybe someone here can think of a few. Private tutors galore though.

Would gladly pay double for my licence fee if we could have two channels like TG4 My ideal scenario would be for TG4 to have exclusive access to all GAA games via a second channel with options for Irish and English commentary. I would happily pay a separate licence fee for that €180 a year. Imagine, no Sunday game, no Spillane or Brolly or Dessie. All games covered as far as possible from club to the senior inter county All Ireland. Money stays within Ireland. Channel could be accessed in every home in Ireland. I dont know whether the revenue raised would match what the GAA get now from RTE and Sky but I suspect that people would buy into the concept if it was marketed properly

So who is actually available - assuming the Sigersonlads don't play as all expect.
Returnees from injury?
Returnees from extended winter break?

I dont know whether the revenue raised would match what the GAA get now from RTE and Sky but I suspect that people would buy into the concept if it was marketed properly I would love that. I would extend it to all Irish sports teams though. Coverage of Irish athletics, Irish rugby and even Irish soccer. We spent millions of our licence fees on showing a bunch of foreign millionaires playing soccer in the champions and europa cups, with not a single Irish player or Irish team in sight. And yes, I said we, as despite being born in Belgium I feel personally affected by the issue. Those that want to watch English, Scottish, German and international soccer can still do so on Eir and Sky, but Irish people should have access for free to irish sports and Irish athletes. A total legend like Shona Heaslip runs in the national athletics championships and not a second of coverage. It would increase exposure for Irish athletes and might even introduce the Irish people to sports they weren't aware of. Even the O'Donovan brothers got no coverage until they won prices in the Olympic games. How many saw the event live and how many in Ireland have watched rowing since on telly, or have been able to do so? In many other countries it would be totally unthinkable that their athletes get no exposure and that their national games are only available on foreign pay per view channels.

I understand that Seán O’Shea, David Clifford & Gavin Crowley all available; Brendan O’Sullivan plus Casey/O’Shea at midfield - rumoured that Jameso out for the rest of the league; Moran back in training, possibly play some part vs Galway.

I think Eanna O'Conchuir will line up in midfield with Brendan O'Sullivan. Moran is just running at the moment.

SKY dont give two fcuks about the GAA.
They are cherry picking a few glamorous matches in the summer while the soccer is off season.

They are a business. That's what businesses do. If RTE didn't see a few quid of a return from showing GAA matches they wouldn't. Tg4 will not invest in massive coverage unless it's worth their while.

You are arguing with a civil servant who is used to seeing money pumped down a black hole with little or no regard from where it came from or if there will be a return. My initial post about the €40m a year spent on TG4 was tongue in cheek. Back to tomorrow, its hard to see a Kerry win with the amount of changes from the first two games. Hopefully a few fringe lads will challenge for spots on the 34 come the summer.
