Minors and Seniors on the same day. Minors throw-in at 12. In terms of the opposition, there will be no need for a draw due to the teams that are left and the rules around provincial winners playing provincial losers again and avoiding previous match-ups. If Tipperary win and Roscommon win, then Kerry can't play Tipperary again, so it's Kerry v Roscommon and Galway v Tipperary If Tipperary win and Clare win, because Kerry played Tipperary in the Munster final, it is Kerry v Clare and Galway v Tipperary If Derry win and Roscommon win, Galway can't play Roscommon, again so it's Kerry v Roscommon and Galway v Derry If Derry win and Clare win, then because Kerry played Clare already, it's Kerry v Derry and Galway v Clare So there's 2 chances out of 4 that it will be Roscommon and 1 out of 4 for both Derry and Clare. Really hope it's not a game against Clare again it at all possible www.kerrygaa.ie/news/10008394/Kerry_Senior_Minor_Qtr_Finals_confirmed_for_Sun_July_31st

Derry would probably provide the best test if only because we haven't played and beaten them this year. That's only likely to happen if Clare beat Roscommon and even then there's a 50% chance of getting Clare. Why can't they have a system where repeat match-ups are avoided if there's any alternative?

It's a bad match up no matter what way the others work out. No proper prep for Dublin. The only caveat being to not completely take it for granted either. A messy situation.

Can't go to the game as I'm in the north due to work. Have a ticket via the season ticket scheme. Free to a good home.

Well done Clare and Tip, the much derided Munster championship will have at least 3 teams in the last 8.
I know Croke Park is where the players want to play and it would help to have a run out on it next week, but, given the geographical locations of the counties surely a double header in Limerick would be common sense. I know that the minor game would be an issue though and everyone deserves a day in Croke Park. They might get a bigger crowd in Limerick.

Anyway not all Kerry supporters live in Kerry.

I see that Paddy Power has fixed the Kerry V Clare for 2.00pm with the Galway V Tipp game at 4.

If I had my way counties who won their province would get home advantage in Quarter Finals, as I don't see why all the Quarters have to be played in Croke Park, unless the Dubs are playing crowds are very low. That would mean Kerry vs Clare in Killarney. But I agree that it's nice to see Clare have their day out in Croke.

They prioritised American Football over our sport in 2014 so we had our replay in Limerick. They were lucky it was one of the games of the 21st century so in the end no-one complained.

Hearing people in comments sections on other sites complaining about Kerry and Clare meeting for a second time in championship next week. This episode from the Sunday game in 2011 at around the 6:50 mark highlighted Kerry's route to the final back then. (Munster: beat Limerick and cork) (AI: beat Limerick and cork again and in an all Ireland final), we now know cork lost to Mayo in the quarters in 2011 but this is similar to what is happening now (beat Clare and Tipperary and beat Clare again to have a cut at the dubs or whoever beats them). However it was a draw that pitted Limerick and Kerry back in 2011 instead of this A B system that is currently used. I wonder how they are going to highlight it this time. Shown exactly 5 years ago tomorrow.

Limerick would be ideal for the expected crowd and handy for everyone. The atmosphere in a quarter-full Croke Park will be cat.

why is ok for hurling quarter finals to be played in thurles but the football must be in croke park ? doesn't make sense, should be decided on geographical basis which would be massive boost for provincial towns etc

As far as i know one of the conditions/enticemenst of buying a premium ticket or corporate box was that all football QFs and semi finals would be in Croker.

Have to say I agree with moving QF's out of Croke Park. There are 3 matches each on Sat & Sunday, attendance will be poor for all. Surely it would be better for all to play in a smaller venue with a better atmosphere and as mentioned earlier, provincial towns would get a boost.
