Well I'm not for or against any certain player here, but Stam scored 0-10 of Spa's 0-12 against us when we played them last, that was in county league! Francis Wallace is one of Ardferts most consistent players over last two years and definetly deserves a decent crack at U-21's. I agree but i think Ger Mc Carthy of listowel deserves a crack at it too. I suppose this topic is gone till the management and players start their trials, What you thimk CONTROL?

They have talented players however many of them were child prodigies but failed to develop! Micheal Hallisey,James Reilly,Padraig Doyle! All these players were awesome between the ages of 12-16! Timmy O'Sullivan a kerry minor will be a big loss for them in the u21 club against Crokes! He is suffering from a long term knee injury!

i hope paddy isnt one of those players who can score all day if given d time and d space eg v mid kerry 3rd game but when space is limited he is non existent like last sunday and against roscommon in d replay. no one is doubting his talent but at this moment and time i dont think he will make it. i hope with all my heart i am wrong but only time will tell

There is no doubt about that.

No doubting Paddy curran is a class act..."but" he showed a total lack of interest in the county final.. It was a tough physical game of football I don't think he got singled out for any undue attention he just didn't seem to be up to the fight.... I m not having a cut at him some of the other players on South kerry team were hiding as well.
I hope that the expereince stands to him and he learns from it. Next year could be a bit too early for him to be on the senior panel for Kerry...
Pound for pound though he's probably a better option than ... Kieran O'Leary/ Hussey / Paul O'Connor??

re paddy curran: lads, i wouldn have it down as showing a lack of interest in the county final, he was beaten fair and square in a tough battle. i have doubts about him, he is class, no doubting that, but will he follow the likes of Doona, Quill, Paul O Connor etc, who were unreal minors yet just wasted talent when it came to senior level.
however, this is an under 21 thread, so lets keep it tho that!
when is the management going to be in place?

Yes Paddy was poor on Sunday and I have no doubt that he will be a star of the future! A player not being mentioned is Jimmy Falvey from fossa which I find surprising considering he was a kerry minor at this age group!

Wouldnt want to be with the team he had at his disposal last year and he made a bags of it! you are right but i heard that the team seemedto be over trained by their physical trainer its a pity though. we need to put a few good performances in 08 the last few years have been dismal. but we must remember that with recent records who will want d job

John Kennedy would want the job with his son over age for minor level this year! Which in my opinion would be a huge mistake because he would be biased!

Yes it is Mickmack we have to call it as we see it!
We have to start being ruthless and a manager whose son is playing under him is unfair to other members of the team!
We have to start getting back on track in minor and u21 levels!

was it unfair when Paidi was manager and his three nephews were playing? Was it unfair that Joe Kernan picked his sons or Mickey Harte picked his son.
Its usually the sons of managers who suffer.................. rather than gain anything

Now that you mention it Mick, once Paudi left, Tomas won player of the year and was a kick away from repeating it a year later, Darragh was very very close to it last year and Marc won it this year!!

I remember Colm O Rourke predicting when Paidi left that the nephews would prosper ...............
