Just telling u what I heard (I didn't say it was a fact). I was told that the Dubs looked for 60,000 and got around 1/4 of that figure which is 15,000. It doesn't matter we will still be outnumbered 5 to 1. Also I can see why Des Cahill was laughing to be fair. u could say that d dubs have a hardcore 13000 fans similar to kerry for d rest d only reason they go as it is as close to being at a man united game sure most of them couldnt name their team Now I wouldn't go that far. Whats going on, here's me defending the Jacks. Must be something in my subconscience.

I wouldn't give a toss abou what Des Cahill said. He is a sarcastic, wanabe pundit that should never given such roles that he gets.
I have been at all the dus games this year except the Leinster final and I've never seen any trouble with oposing fans, granted those fans didn't probaly go into the hill inany great number. The problems on the hill start when the dubs start to lose or concede big leads.

Just a word of warning to people swapping tickets and buying them from "unofficial sources" - theres a chance that there will be fakes doing the rounds.

Just looking at ebay. Tickets up for auction. The most expensive is for 2 tickets (doesn't say where for) plus accommodation for €660. Crazy or what.
Apparently Kerry got 1500 tickets for the Hill.

Any truth to the rumour that all the tickets returned from the clubs will be on sale in the pavilion tomorow. Been at every Kerry Game since '96, but missed out on a ticket this time for the first time ever. Never even seen a Kerry game on TV! If not on sale, any relieable sources for a ticket I'll swap a few tips for tralee races if so

On another point, are people off their head by considering going into the hill. I have friends from various different counties who went it there when the Dubs were playing their teams and they were lucky to get out of there. Stay away i think. I agree

Re: Swapping Hill Tickets I know for a fact that a lot of the younger Dub supporters would prefer to be on The Hill - a couple I know turned down Lower Hogan tickets for the Derry match for Hill ones. Its more of a "whole day experience" thing - not just the game. Dont think I'd go on The Hill myself - bit of a coward and like my good seat & good view from the Hogan.

There will be plenty of Dub fans outside Gill's looking to swap their stand tickets for Hill tickets. FACT! They'll have gone through the barriers at that stage where officials would (SHOULD) be checking for counterfeits.

Lads, it's not Bramall lane circa 1985 you're going to Sunday.

Kerry ticket allocation higher than usual www.irishexaminer.com/irishexaminer/pages/story.aspx-qqqg=sport-qqqm=sport-qqqa=sport-qqqid=40618-qqqx=1.aspBy Jim O’Sullivan KERRY followers may be complaining about the shortage of tickets for Sunday’s glamour All-Ireland championship meeting with Dublin, but their allocation is substantially higher than the usual demand for semi-finals. A total of 14,500 tickets were received and while the extent of Dublin’s allocation is not known, the Board sold 46,000 for their quarter-final game with Derry. Kerry sold close to 9,000 tickets for the last two semi-finals, against Cork, and approximately 11,000 for the game with Tyrone in 2003. A different method of distribution operates for All-Ireland finals — where they are shared between competing counties and the rest of the country. In contrast, the bulk of tickets for quarter-final and semi-finals go to the competing counties. Contrary to reports, the ‘corporate sector’ has not received 25,000 tickets for Sunday’s game. The actual total is 10,500, comprising 8,500 premium seats and 2,000 in the boxes in the three stands (Cusack, Davin and Hogan), and it’s an established fact that a majority of premium-level seats are held by GAA members. While the capacity of the ground is 82,300, close to 15,000 tickets are not available for general circulation. This figure is made up from the corporate tickets and over 4,000 long-term seats in the Cusack Stand. These were put on general sale to the counties at the time the stand was being built and a sizeable majority of them were taken up by northern units. Meanwhile Limerick County Board Chairman Denis Holmes has pleaded for more tickets for the All-Ireland hurling final . A massive ticket drought has hit the county and a 10,000 allocation from the GAA will not satisfy the massive demand. Holmes has put the feelers out for returns from other counties and revealed that Limerick could do with at least 30,000 tickets for the September 2 clash with Kilkenny. He said: “We’ve received 10,000 which is our allocation as a competing county. “It’s not enough but obviously all of the other arms of the association will get their amount but we hope that some come back to us because we could use treble that amount. Supporters not lucky enough to get their hands on the precious passes can watch the game on a giant screen which will be erected on the city’s O’Connell St I knew I saw it somewhere....

Did I read somewhere that Kerry got a bigger allocation of tickets than normal? That will annoy the best supporters in Ireland.... Would the Cork hurling fans be that interested in this match??

Based on a totally unprovoked attack on Laois supporters on clonliffe road in 2006. There was violence in the air. However for that match anyone could have got tickets from ticketmaster.......... so on sunday..........those "rovers fans" wont be there hopefully.

However for that match anyone could have got tickets from ticketmaster.......... so on sunday..........those "rovers fans" wont be there hopefully. Any such incidents are sickening, and for sure, there will be drunken, stoned idiots up for any kind of mayhem, but this could happen anywhere around the ground. On The Hill itself, apart from some times down low behind the goal, I've never seen any problems, and it would be wrong I feel to scare people by intimating that such an incident as you saw last year is commonplace, I've never seen anything in 25 years going to Croker. I've seen very drunk, ignorant, stoned fans of all counties, some of them staggering up towards the entrance to the Hill, with stand tickets

It said 14500 on the paper, but it's still 4,500 more than the counties get for the All Ireland.
