I'm going to the hill anyways. Nothing to beat being in wiith the opposition. Think it'll be murder to get tickets. Nothing beats being mixed with the dubs and roaring " Come on lads lets flush the jacks" to be honest lads it wouldn't bother me to see Kerry Fans on the Hill on Sunday but there is an element among our support who wouldn't take too kindly to it. a large group of Meath Fans had to be taken out of the Hill at Half Time in the First Game against Dublin this Year.the Police and Stewards,in their wisdom, walked said fans along the front of the Hill and the Bottles,Umbrellas,Programmes etc started to rain down.it wasn't a pretty sight....... anyway lads, wherever you end up enjoy the Game and may the best Team win.

"TICKET SCHEME: PROCEDURE FOR *SCHEME MEMBERS* APPLYING FOR TICKETS Kerry v Dublin Sunday 26th August Venue: Croke Park Stand Tickets @ 45 euro Terrace Tickets @ 30 euro All members of the 2003-2008 Scheme should apply in writing to the Co.Board immediately. Closing date for receipt of application is Thursday 16th August. No applications will be taken over the phone. Applications should be sent to "An Runaí, Kerry Co. Board, Austin StackPark, Box 125, Tralee, Co. Kerry" and must quote the Scheme Registration Number. All applications must include an Addressed Envelope, which must be either Stamped for Postage or must be marked "To be Collected" and appropriate payment." From this it looks like we are getting some terrace tickets. What do you have to do to join this scheme and how much does it cost?

About 4 and a half years too late Una! There will be another one starting next year. A donation of €x will entitle you to purchase a ticket for all kerry games.

Yay I got my ticket. Unfortunately I don't know where it's for yet as I'm in Dublin and it's being brought up for me. Bless them at home Along with the leg of lamb, 5 brown soda loaves, a cooked ham, a bag of new spudz from the garden and 27 family packs of Kimberley Mikados! Aw, shucks! Not quite like that i'm afraid Peig. They are heading up here anyways. Hope they do bring the mikados though ;D

And is that X euro per year or an overall donation for the duration?

You'll have to wait until the county board announce what the fee is. It's a once off payment, but what it does is entitle you to buy tickets for each and every ticketed game Kerry play in for the duration of the scheme.
Eg, if you put in $300, you are entitled to buy one ticket, $600 entitles you to buy two tickets etc etc.
It supports the county board and saves you hassle for years afterwards.

With the amount of times Cork play Kerry, it would nearly be worth my while....

Up to the Munster final, it's a stand ticket (usually open stand in Cork). For the All Ireland quarter, semi and final, it depends on the allocation given to the county board, but primarily it's Cusack for the quarter and semi and Canal for the final.

One All Ireland we got upper tier alright, but for the rest of the games we've been lower tier.

Roughly about 200 people entered in the draw but there was also a few family tickets which eased the demand a bit.

Did I read somewhere that Kerry got a bigger allocation of tickets than normal? That will annoy the best supporters in Ireland....

For anyone without a ticket your best bet is in Kerry. I would not fancy trawling down O'Connell st on Sunday looking for one with the current demand for tickets in Dublin. Chase the clubs and get onto the county board.
On another point, are people off their head by considering going into the hill. I have friends from various different counties who went it there when the Dubs were playing their teams and they were lucky to get out of there. Stay away i think.

Kerry got almost 2000 terrace tickets, I suppose its a case of needs must with the way demand is for tickets. But you'd definately want to keep your wits about you up there.
No sign of a 2nd allocation yet apparently but there might be some returns showing up tomorrow.

I know its going to be rather hostile but its not going to be like istanbul or some place like that. If kerry take up the 2000 alllocation of hill tickets i believe that we should stay in close proximity and we should be ok

Yeah all Kerry fans should definately make an effort to congregate together on the hill - strenght in numbers and all that. I assume all terrace tickets issued to Kerry are for the same section of the Hill anyway (i.e. Nally Hill or whatever).

A lot of Dubs would prefer to be in the Hill than in the middle of the lower Hogan!

yea anyone wih hill tickets can easily swap them for stand tickets d dubs will go mad for another few hundrd hill tickets.from what i heard there is a second allocation of tickets to kerry and d clubs this evening. i still think its a disgrace that we only got about 14000 tickets with a capacity of 82300. if d kerry county board got 20000 tickets everyone would be happy.

I was told that the Dubs looked for 60,000 and got around 1/4 of that figure which is 15,000. It doesn't matter we will still be outnumbered 5 to 1. Also I can see why Des Cahill was laughing to be fair.
