absolutely..i started the Bryan S thread and am delighted that MFR has come good.. no brainer for Final...no disrespect to Bryan, he is brilliant free taker... I dont want to knock bryan, hopefully he will recover to full fitness for final. He could be a very usefull sub and he is a class free taker. His time will come too but not this year maybe

When MFR is in form he is not just a good free taker but a class all round team player and is not afraid to get in the game. Well Done MFR. Great to see your form back

Great to see MF Russel well on his way back to best. When was the last time Cork had to move Lynchie back to corner back to mark a man ?? Shows how well Mike did the last day. Can see him being dropped for this final !!

When was the last time Cork had to move Lynchie back to corner back to mark a man ?? That would have been the 2002 semi final when MFR scored 1-3 from play in the first half. I was delighted for Mike Frank after his display on Sunday. I've been ploughing a lone furrow on this forum for his inclusion in the starting 15 for the last few years. He seems to gave got that swagger back and will mean our opponents on the final will be equally as worried about our corner forwards. Pity that wasnt the case against Tyrone last year.

personally i'm delighted for mike frank.,are you watchinh quill. i've found the treatment of himself and fitzmaurice hard to take.
people who have knocked mike frank and kicked him in b***s since 2004 should stand up and take a bow.

Mike Frank and Fitzmaurice are true Kerrymen. They got messed around over the last few years, took it on the chin and never went to the papers whinging and have bounced back to play important roles in our assault on the All Ireland.

To be fair to Quill, people here kept calling for MFR to be given more championship game time to bring him back to full fettle. Similarly, Quill needed more championship game time, and Jack didn't give it to him, for whatever reason.
To be texted after the drawn Cork game asking him to come back to the squad was a low point for people involved. Could they not spare the extra 50c and give him a call?

Agree with you abu about Quill should have gotten the call back. But Jack has made a few eyebrow choices and I still cant understand them. I am however thrilled for Mike frank and that Eamon has not be thrown away like yesterdays newspaper. They have been true Class both on and off the field and are a credit to our County and our game.

Now lads I always tried to be fair in my assessment of players and when Mike Frank was playing poor I criticised so I'd like to say now that I am so happy his confidence is back and that he played so well the last day. Hopefully he'll keep it up now and fair play to him.
