Sure it's why the Oscars moved themselves back to the New Year circa 1958.....to avoid the NK final.

Sure Wk Championship final from last year hasn't been played yet!!!
As far as I was aware the Skellig/Lispole game would have been played this wkend had the Kerry Minors lost, but as they didn't I'm not sure what the story is? It's turning into a bit of a farce!

Admin What odds will you give me on that game being called off again before Friday evening!!? I cant imagine the Lispole lads will be too happy going to Cahersiveen! , would they not have been better off playing the game in Kilorglin or even Stacks Park,a lot of neutrals would have been interested in seeing this game!Should be a cracking game though Anybody know who the ref will be?

That is an absolute Joke, making Lispole travel all the way down there. I know Lispole have a few away based players, Dublin Limerick etc, so not only will they have that long journey home but then the almost 2 hr journey to Cahersiveen! I thought it was ment to be neutral venue which is normally half way for both teams i.e. Killorglin. I think this championship is decending into a farce!!!

With Stephen Sullivan missing Lispole should concentrate on the football. Great opportunity for them to finally win a junior title.

Seamus, thats not a fair comment. I was talkin to a Lispole fella playin in the first game and Lispole wre winning that game well so they wre obviously concentratin on football. Can critic or some1 who was at this game comment??? Since the other thread is locked id like to wish Stephen a quick recovery, nice fella, did't deserve that for sure

You are dead right twenty, lets leave the last game at that, Admin will pull any comment anyway. I just feel it's unfair to be making Lispole travel so much! I think they will win, they seem to getting better since the beginning of the year. The winner of this game will go on to win the Junior I feel, they will have been hardened by the experience. For justice I suppose Lispole deserve it!!

I meant that they should just accept the venue and concentrate on winning the match. They ain't going to get the fixture changed now!

Agree the venue of the match is un-fair but I'm sure Lispole will rise to the ocassion.
Not very fair to right off the other teams left in the Championship either, who have been waiting for this game to get on with there Championship!!!

Yea it seems a crazy venue! But Still with the injury to Stephen O Sullivan it is kinda overshadowing the whole thing.

Bally have a very good side at the moment, they are very young if they play like they did against Cordal it will take a good side to beat them.

The reason the game is on in Caherciveen is that the game was fixed for Austin Stacks a month ago and Lispole pulled the plug because they had a few players away, Skellig accomondated them on condition that the game would be played in South Kerry but as Lispole agreed not in Portmagee..And if any of ye were at the first game you would know that Lispole nor Skellig played any good football in what was on of the worst days of the year, it was off the ball stuff from the start and i don't blame the ref for calling it off because it really got out of hand, Lispole got two handy goals..it wasn't that Skellig hadn't there chances either..Having said that Lispole would not of lost the game the way it was going..it should be a cracker..best of luck to steven Sullivan, hope he's back in action soon..

Fantastic game in Caherciveen between Skellig and Lispole..great football played the way it should be, not a bad blow..finished level after extra time 1-14 to 2-11..

Comfortable victory for Renard. Imagine one team safely in final and we still waiting for an outcome in one of the first round games...... ridiculous..... Beale Renard final...... Renard beat beale earlier in summer but beale are bouncing back big time now too brilliant results away from home recently with big wins against valentia and kenmare last night
