Tarbert V Beale on June 3rd, may also double up as a county league game. Skellig R V Lispole on same date if allowed stay in competion which seems likely. Quarter finals on weekend June 24/25.

Ballyduff had a panel of 24, misssing 4 starters according to them, reenard had a panel of 19, missing 4 starters because of exams. But ballyduff were not at the races reenard started too good with 7 point lead

Renard V Firies St. Pats V Duagh Ballylongford V Cordal Beale or Tarbert V Skellig Rangers or Lispole
There is a handy Junior Championship there for the taking for either Lispole or Skellig Rangers if they get their act together.

well said realist re Ballyduff. I would not be a huge fan of them but have to acknowledge them in many ways. After all they promote hurling & football and the day after losing to Renard they were out playing hurling against Kilmoyley in the Nk league semi final. From the kerrys eye i see the hurling line up included Bobby Sullivan, Giles Grady, Mikey Boyle, Padraig Donegan, Padraig Harrington & Mikie Bowler who I imagine were all in Renard the night before.
In 2005 they knocked Kilmoyley out of the hurling championship in a game that no GAA match in Austin Stack Park that year could equal for passion, excitement & atmosphere whatever about quality. No side had beaten Kilmoyley in 4 or 5 years. July & August were devoted to hurling. They were flat against O'Dorney in the semi & most were surprised to see them lose. They regrouped well for the County Junior football & were unlucky to lose to Ardfert who subsequently won the All Ireland. Ballyduff regrouped again & won the NK football which is a hard won prize irrespective of your opinion on the standard. They were playing up to Christmas to win it so if things didnt go according to plan for them against Renard it is not time for people to start knocking Ballyduff. Renard were better team end of story - South Kerry football is really strong at the moment so big deal if they lost.
The duffers will simply move on the next challenge. most of the footballers were hurling sunday morning which is more than can be said for most of players that were in action last weekend. Thy have loads to play for County Hurling competitions, county football league & retaining the NK football championship.
As i say I am not from Ballyduff, they do things their own way down there & are a funny bunch though they do overstep the mark on occassions the auld duffers!!

It is hard to look beyond the home teams in the first 3 games. I agree that whoever comes out of the bottom game will be favourites to win it outright as they will be battlehardened.

Was at the Skellig Rangers and Lispole game, not going to comment on what happened, but Championship is Championship - what i mean by this is Lispole proved what the heat of battle, to die for every ball..etc. is all about..A stronger looking Skellig team got up big wake up call...so you can't call the junior championship or anyother championship because on any even day its all about whats in your belly!!!Was at the Spa v St Mary's game too..Spa very impressive in the first half but faded in the second..very strong around the middle and brian sheehan was a lonely job to keep the Mary's in division one..

was at the Skellig v Lispole game too and Admin I'm very disappointed with your stance on commenting on the game. Buck's thread doesn't hide the fact that Lispole were 14 mins from a certain victory when it was robbed of them by in my view a weak ref.
Tarbert are now the favourites to win it with St Pats as dark horses

I reckon if either lispole or skellig wins the junior, they'll have won it the hard way. Cos the four teams left in that side of the draw are arguably the best. agree with arthur G on St Pats being dark horses. have another home game v duagh. they should sneak that and then u're in a semi. if they can avoid the tarbert/beale/skellig/lispole side of the draw til the final, it just might be their year. they've the 2 costellos on the juniors and i believe 2 on the minors so they've the bones of a decent side. still reckon you're looking at the 4 previously mentioned

Skellig v lispole going to replay..think june 10 weekend...Fair play to both their minor teams played a very good division 5 final in miltown..skellig won in the end..could of easily been blood boiling from the previous weekend with both teams having players involved in the senior game..looking forward to replay but can't see either of these teams getting past beale or tarbert in up north..

Heard it's on Saturday as well but no sign of the fixture on aertel or in the Kerryman are Lispole apealing the decision? The Beale /Tarbert replay was a great game played in true championship fever. It proves that the present Shannon Rangers set up means nothing to these players. here is a report from the Tarbert website.
Tarbert 0-09 Beale 0-11 Tarbert lost this very entertaining and engaging replay in sun drenched Shannon Park on Saturday evening in front of a decent attendance. Despite going four points down after 10 minutes, points from Shaun McGinley brought the home side well back into the game and were only a point a drift at half time (0-05 to 0-04). In was nip and tuck until the end with some excellent points from play by Darragh Lanigan, Kevin Wren and a superb point by John Holly pushing Tarbert ahead on a score -line of 09 points to 8 points with 10 minutes remaining. Two close in frees by Beale punished Tarbert as they deservedly lead at the final whistle on the score line of 11 points to 09 points. The entire Tarbert fifteen with substitute Niall Stack gave of their all for the entire game and could not be faulted for work effort, determination and team spirit. The team: Tommy Barrett Shane Enright, Ambrose Lanigan , Darragh Lanigan, John Kelliher ,Eugene O'Connell (Capt), Jimmy Holly, John O'Connell ,Fionn Scannell,Stevie Deenihan Eoin O'Connell, Kevin Wren, Shane Langan, Shaun McGinley, John Holly Subs, Niall Stack for Fionn Scannell.

I reckon lispole will take them handy. They've been waiting for a long time to have another craic at skellig since the abandoned game. the lispole lads reckon it was started by the skellig boys just cos the game was gone from their reach....they'll be psyched up to the last for it.....are the 3 remaining 1/4 final games being played this weekend? will renard be allowed let k young play? pats v duagh should be a good one. both had good wins in the lge 2 weeks ago. cordal should have enough for ballylongford although all nth kerry teams are tough to beat at home

Bally started with 8 of last years north kerry u21 c'ship winning side and also 4 u17 players were involved(2 kerry minor men were not involved). This may be promising although i should not be getting carried away. Still it was a very good performance v Cordal i thought with alot of players missing. Duagh are playing quite well and should not be overlooked.
