We can expect Star to be bear hugged every time he gets the ball. They'll probably have to double team him which can only be good news for Gooch and MFR. I can see the team who hoovers up the breaks being the winner on Saturday..... to use Rugby parlance we need a few groundhogs. If we can't get the ball into Star in the 1st place from mid-field / 50 yards we're wasting our time. For this reason Seamus could be vital. He's been good on the breaking ball this year. percisely, free role from wing forward, ching, ching. and put the big draft horse from finuge at centre back, let geezer, ncgrane,mc entee etc know that there's a man about the house.

From Hoganstand.com...
"That’s the thing with Francie, you always think there has to be someone better, yet he doesn’t do an awful lot wrong. It’ll be interesting to see what he’ll do with Michael Jordan on Saturday. Will he go man-to-man or play a zone defence me wonders. "

I fully expect Star to win some good ball but when he lands then i expect 3-4 orange jerseys to swarm him and cut off the lay -off to his forwards. Also i fully expect them to target his temperment with late hits, chit chat and all that. I really don't think he will finish the game as he loses the cool really easy.

If 3 or 4 lads are watching Star then who's watching Gooch and MFR. This has to be our trump card. Here's hoping anyways.

Gooch and MFR will be watched alrite animal it'll be half forwards, half backs and midfielders who'll try smother Donaghy when he gets down with the ball. The key is that the ball that is aimed at the full forward line goes in fast, not allowing Armagh to get back in numbers. Easier said than done though when they will be swarming around anybody on the ball.

I know Donaghy scored a point against Cork but how many did he indirectly get, through winning frees providing the last past etc?? I can count about 4!

I dont think I have ever seen any player win as much high ball as Donaghy in full forward....Its amazing.
Like every high ball that is aimed around his head he fields.. There was huge high ball going in at times yesterday and he fielded it so easily..
The goal he got was just class.. Huge high ball in...catches it..beats off his man and bang, the roof of the net is rattled....
What a revelation he has been at 14 this year.. I think it is fair to say that his play at 14 is possibly the number one factor Kerry changed their season around..
I hail thee...
Will he have the same influence next year..?? Thats another question.. What would stop him I suppose..

Good post Dec, but you can be sure that Tyrone and co. will be looking for enormous full backs to sort Donaghy out. They've already got Ricey on one of these things: alkemykalfaktory.com/objs/rack.html

Billy Morgan was spotted courtside last week at a Miami Heat pre season exhibition game - rumour has it Shaq O'Neil has relatives in Shandon.
