I don't think ye would fancy going back up to Ardfert FatTom? Tight, heavy pitch does'nt suit Stam, O'Mahoney, Garnett, O'Donavan etc

Don't think any team would fancy going there to be honest. Saying that we'd love another crack at them cause the lads felt really bad about that performance. Maybe a rematch on our own patch.

Ya that would be interesting alright, spa couldnt possibly be as bad as they were in the county league, ardfert are very hard to beat at home, only finuge and a very bad display against duagh are the only 2 defeats in the last 3 years i think on that lovely big pitch, im sure ardfert wouldnt mind a trip to spa, but tom ye shouldnt feel too bad about the last game, ye were dire in fairness but ardfert put in their best performance since pat driscoll took over nearly 4 years ago.

I'm sure ardfert wouldnt mind travelling any where, they travelled to sneem last sunday and beat them on a water logged pitch!!! so after playing on that pitch any pitch would be a step up. ardfert pitch is tight but if a team is good enough to beat em they will have to do it regardless of venue.

Tough draw for us. In my opinion Annascaul are probably the best team left but at least its at home. Ardfert should beat Waterville. Finuge at home should take Dromid. And whoever wins the g'guilla desmonds game should overcome currow.

Don't think Annascaul are the best team left in in it Fat Tom, i was at their game last weekend they should have been beaten by St michaels/foilmore, they were very lucky but they'll probably beat Spa alright though, fancy g'guilla or finuge to win it myself

Gneevguilla have never really been a good championship side though and there is never more than a point or two between us and them, I certainly wouldn't mind going head to head with them.
Annascaul may have been lucky against Foilmore but they have always been up around the top end of 2 and even got promoted to one the year before last and are a tough fixture for any team. I'd rate ourselves better than Foilmore - and if they almost beat them then I'd give us every chance.

But Annascaul are as good if not better than the other 2. But we have played them more over the last few years - I have yet to see Ardfert play.

'Gneevguilla have never really been a good championship side' Ya they just won the east kerry championship in 2003!!!! They did and fair play to them but when was the last time they had a decent run in the Intermediate? They were beaten surprisingly by Ballymac last year and threw away the game against Desmonds this year. A very good side and they have every chance of winning it.

I'd don't know the last time they have had a good run in the intermediate, i just gave u a simple fact to prove ur statement that they have NEVER really been a good championship side is wrong.

Fair enough, I suppose. Still wouldn't fancy them myself. I was thinking more about runs in the Intermediate than East Kerry.

i can see Ardfert, finuge,g'guilla going thru. Annascaul and Spa will be very tight, but id but my money on Annascaul just to edge it, even though its on in killlarney i see your not trying to build Spa up too much anyway Fat Tom. think finuge are the strongest team left in it,there playin annascaul in co.leauge, minus kerry boys,on sat eve so this should tell a bit.

Annauscaul were lucky against foilmore. another 5 mins and they'd be beat i think. Spa might topple them with home advantage. I think the gneeveguilla championship issue depends on the championship. They're always fired up for east kerry games .neighbours and all that. But a trip to waterville or ardfert on a wet sunday might'nt boil the blood. they threw away a six point lead against desmonds so maybe chance is gone. Division 1 survival is also a heavier thought for them. If they get past desmonds though currow are for the taking aswell.

They threw away a 9 point lead not a mind 6 but they could take them in the replay.

Rough justice on Gneeveguilla at the end. They had a free 30-40 yards from goal when down by one. Gneeveguilla player asks ref whats left. 1 Min. he says. so player looks up and plays quick ball to player 20 yards out. just as he catches it the ref blows up. Needless to say gneeveguilla players were'nt so happy. I know the ref can blow up at any time but he did say there was a minute. First player should have put it down anyway and taken his chance with the free. Desmonds will be too strong for Currow in next round.
