Could Stefan be involved in Sigerson Cup? Not sure. Hope his omission is not an other injury.
The matchup I am most looking forward to is Joe O’Connor versus Ian McGuire. Prior to his injury, when Joe had emerged as our great white , he met Ian in the Munster club championship. Not sure of date . I was disappointed with Joe that day. Now, Ian is a formidable opponent but I would be slow to classify him as a midfielder of the first rank. Accordingly, if that matchup materializes tomorrow I need Joe to assert himself. The other Cork midfielder is Colm O’Callaghan. I rate him highly. Therefore , expect our two boys to be tested tomorrow. For the sake of our nerves the hope is they will surmount that challenge.

Stefan was named on bench for UCC but hasn’t played so I suspect he may be injured veteran. You’re right on the midfield battle. Maguire isn’t top notch but still takes serious stamina and strength to get the better of him. Colm O’Callaghan has also improved a lot and is a powerful athlete. We will hopefully learn a thing or two at the very least anyway.

I think with the half forward line of Buckley and Burke should help the two lads in thr middle. We should have plenty of kickout options. With Breen injured and Stefan not named we look light at 6 and as much as I admire Paul he's not a 6. Tomorrow is fine but Tadgh will be required next week.

I am looking forward to seeing Cillian Burke. A lot of enthusiasism about him this year. I have seen him a few times and haven't really been impressed. I qualify that by saying I didn't rate Marc O Sé when he first appeared

Nice team, 7 or 8 lads with a point to proove and a chance to get into the team as there's definitely 3 places at Least up for grabs, probably 4.
Only concern with the team is if Seanie is held, not alot of scoring power.

Will the match be on TG4 YouTube? Just checked there and it is. That’s great. Didn’t think it would be streamed. Can one get it on the PC on YouTube? Would pubs have it or is there a subscription for public places? Be Jazus but isn't it great to have Veteran back?

Stacks v St Finbar’s was went Joe O Connor had his injury. Was doing ok on Maguire. When Joe went off Maguire took over ]

Only concern with the team is if Seanie is held, not alot of scoring power. That's my main concern too. In saying that, I very happy that Jack has persisted with Joe and Sean in midfield, I'd love to see these too bed in a bit more. Like most, I've been impressed too with Killian Burke, if the above too continue their upward progression, I'd like to see a half forward line tried of Burke, Paudie and Diarmuid with Seanie inside with DC... now that would be frightening

Delighted to see Ronan Buckley given a proper chance hope he takes it.

Dylan Geaney is more than a scorer. That's why he is given such a central position. He can make things happen. Kerry needs a player like that. He is new to the scene but is well capable of making an impact.

Pitch inspection this morning, game goes ahead as planned. Rain seemed to thaw out the pitch as hoped.

After a pitch inspection the game is going ahead as planned at 2pm in Páirc Uí Rinn
I agree on Dylan Geaney, he is becoming a very accomplished playmaker and scoretaker. I'd be surprised if he doesn't get a goal or creates a few goal chances. In the previous games I wasn't overly impressed with Moynihan and Buckley, but it's early days and they aren't bad either. Having Sean O'Shea at full forward should give them the room to run with the ball which is so often the best way to beat Cork. Cork certainly mean business and I'm delighted to see Jack has stuck with Joe and Sean in midfield. We know what Jack Barry and Diarmuid O'Connor bring, so it is good to have backup.
That halfback line though is probably the making or breaking of the game. Paul Murphy, Heinrich and Ó Beaglaoich all like securing the ball on kickouts, effectively adding 3 ore midfield options, and all 3 are lethal going forward. Heinrich has impressed me since he was a minor and has become a very solid defender for Stacks. Likewise that full back line of O'Sullivan, Casey and Foley is doing very well and becoming very dependable. If they win today would Jack keep the Cliffords on the bench for the Derry match?

Both his parents are German, he is born and raised in Tralee as far as I know.

Very drab so far. Ref very whistle happy when Cork attacking.
Seeing nothing new from Kerry at all, would be the perfect chance try something out. Some new bodies but the same tactics. Incredibly frustrating to watch.
When we have gone direct, we have gotten joy. Killian started well but none of the new kids on the block standing out yet.

I agree regarding the ref, he loves penalising us for over carrying. Frees keeping Cork in the game for now but I'd expect that to change when both teams begin to run the benches, Kerry should pull away then.

Flattered to be ahead. Cork look the more dangerous outfit so far, even though playing against the wind. A lot of our lads have not featured at all.
I hope too many changes are not made too early in the interest of continuity..
Refere very generous towards the Cork forwards.
