Whilst everyone today was amazing, DOC really came of age and can take a serious bow
The defence was AMAZING, won everything, lost count of the turnovers.
All the subs contributed massively.
And what can u say about DC’s pass?

Great day. I was hugely impressed with the way the backs worked the ball out of defence. Throughout the game tyrone put serious pressure on the ball coming out. The kick passing from our 45 was immaculate. Loved it when sob pointed instead of going for the obvious goal, that was nearly an insult in itself 😄

Gavin White was something else in the first half.

What a mature professional performance from start to finish. DOC was imperious. He was like Jack O’Shea reborn. Paul Murphy, Gavin White and Adrian Spillane deserve special mentions also. Collectively a masterclass and you could clearly see they were all signing from the same hymn sheet.
Obviously the game wasn’t really in the melting pot but Shane Ryan is a great operator. Steady and pinged a few when needed. Also offered himself as an option when needed.
I’m very impressed by all involved.

This came from the gut after the Tyrone approach in ‘21 where they muddied the waters with mind games in the unsure and unsettling times of a world epidemic to throw the Kerry teams approach to a huge semifinal off kilter and as a result the motivation for Kerry was dripping off the dressing room walls in this one. The next game for Kerry could be tricky as they emptied both mind and body in this clash to show the hyenas of the game where the pecking order lies. This was seismic and I loved every second, I shouldn’t be so shallow I know but this was a watershed moment and I will sip from its sugar rimed green and gold glass for some time to come. A great July beginning 🙌

What a brilliant performance all around. Great to see others step up when David was having an “0ff day” that kick over the shoulder was sublime. Anyone have a playback of Radio Kerry’s coverage - would love to listen to the two lads, having watched it on GAAGO. Ciarraí Abú

A quick question for any referees for the second goal Burns was in the square before Seanie scored could it have been disallowed?

SOS wriggled round, released it up the line to SOB I think and we got a score off it. It was a risky kick but he backed himself and there was other examples. Maybe that was it I can’t be sure but just So proud

A quick question for any referees for the second goal Burns was in the square before Seanie scored could it have been disallowed? It'd be harsh if it was and I think he'd have to have actually played the ball. He nearly got in the way of the goal in the end.

In fairness our defence was immense, they blotted out the canavans and mccurry, no easy task, hard to believe that daragh canavan did not influence the game in any way, take a bow boys.
DoC was sublime, a coming of age and delivering on his underage performance, fenton esk performance.
Looking forward to the draw or however they match is up in the semi final. Although it was a near perfect performance by Kerry, we still have room for improvement.
Our challenge will come from tomorrows games , so looking forward to see what they might bring.
Well done Kerry. 👏👏👏

Great win. Nerves finally settled.
By my reckoning if Dublin and Derry win tomorrow which is the way the bookies have it, then we will play Dublin in the semi. Monaghan and Derry have met and repeat pairings will be avoided. Am I right?

Monaghan and Derry have met and repeat pairings will be avoided. Am I right? We can’t play Dublin then based on the Monaghan v Derry repeat pairing so it would be Kerry v Monaghan or Derry

Just catching up on the posts and re looking at some of the game on gaa go we contained Tyrone all day defensively but trying to figure out , what happened between first half and second, it was 9 to 6 at ht, with Tyrone kicking another 6 in second half, seems like they were very open in second half, so seems like they pushed on and we did what they did to us in 2021, turned them over and countered.

Monaghan and Derry have met and repeat pairings will be avoided. Am I right? If Derry and Dublin win tomorrow, we will have to play either Monaghan or Derry - otherwise they would have to play each other which is to be avoided if possible. If Cork and Dublin win, we will draw Dublin or Monaghan to avoid Cork in a repeat pairing. If Cork and Mayo win, we could draw any of Cork, Mayo and Monaghan as a repeat pairing will be unavoidable. If Derry wnd Mayo win, we will draw Derry or Monaghan, to avoid Mayo in a repeat pairing. So by my reckining, the only possibility of playing Dublin is if Cork win and Dublin win and then its a possibility only. If I got the above arseways, apologies!

In a funny kind of way I am extra delighted to see you all so happy - reminds me of '75 when the Bomber hatricked and my mother told me to 'come down off the table', and to which I replied 'what effin table' - I didn't know what planet I was on, let alone what item of furniture!
It would be great if we got Vet back, I recall us all pondering over how great this panel was and it would be nice to benefit from his reflective view after Tyrone.
Though I initially had this crew down to be our best ever, I have to admit there was times when I did question my own judgement and ah sure, who cares - they were awesome today; that performance was humbling to say the least. I'd say past masters had that sense of relief - passing the baton is all they can do, and today they saw the younger generation grab it with both hands!
As I say, what a day to be a Kerryman!

40 years going to Croke Park. This is the most spontaneously amazing thing I've seen in that place. Everyone went 'Aw' in unison. Goosebumps

Goosebumps My first time in HQ was the ‘71 final - like you, have never seen anything like this before - even the Tyrone & neutrals around me applauded. It was awesome - what a privilege to be able to witness David do what he does. We are indeed blessed to call him our own.

Very enjoyable performance from Kerry today with strong performances throughout the team. A small bit of caution as Tyrone were poor and in particular lacked the focussed intensity that makes them dangerous. They have sputtered all year with inconsistent performances and today they ran out of steam in the second half in particular - partly down to Kerry intensity but largely down to their own lack of energy.

This is 100% true. When the dust settles it'll become clear that Tyrone were awful, particularly in defence. Not a clue what to do or where to be. All eyes on tomorrow.
