Must be the first time in a very long time there's been no one from South Kerry. Representation was slack enough on the teams that won All-Irelands from 2014-2018. There might always have been been 1 or 2 on extended panel but there was definitely at least one year where there was nobody on the matchday panel. It has been trending downwards for many years now. I think there was 4 South Kerry players last year which was the most ofr many years. I know population is falling but the lads who were monor for last few years would have been born in the early to mid 2000's when it felt to me that a lot of people were building houses and starting families in South Kerry. I finished school in 2005 and there is not a lot of my generation who stayed and settled in South Kerry so I just feel that numbers are just going to get worse and worse over the coming years. Just looking at it there was actually no one at all from South Kerry played during the 2017 and 2018 winning campaigns. While I know things weren't as strong I'm sure there wasn't at least one lad on those panels. It's a far cry from the 2000s when South Kerry were on top at all grades.

Very strong starting 15 I don’t trust the bench too much. Beaglaoich .O Keefe, Gannon and healy only players I would be confident in. Starting 15 looked very good… scary to imagine them with mulvihil and hogan.

Wishing the team and management the very best of luck .Unfortunately there is a distinct lack of wow factor with this panel but hopefully the astute management team will get them punching above their weight .should be easily good enough to win Munster but will do really well to win an all iteland with this squad .Weak forward division and lack of strength in depth off the bench will prob cost us in the all iteland series but for now enjoy the Munster series and hopefully play positive football the Kerry way

Wishing the Kerry Minors the very best this evening against our old rivals in Cork. Looking forward to seeing very positive attaching football from this group of talented young footballers and not the negative defensive, over handpassing type of football that is creeping into the game.

Cork were 5-0 up and finally after 12 minutes Kerry manage to register a score. This looks a damage limitation exercise already. Come on lads! Lift it!

It's amazing after being largely outplayed by Cork we are only 3 points down at the short whistle. Cork really should be further ahead and left one clear goal chance behind them. Will it be a game of two halves? Le's hope the Kerry boys get motoring.

The centre forward for Cork is some player. Kerry don't know what to do with him.

I thought the Kerry boys showed great heart and plenty of football skills especially in the second half. Cork may have won but I was not impressed with their agricultural style - the damage was done more in the first half and the second Cork goal early in the second half gave them a nice cushion to protect after Kerry had fought back strongly. Clearly the Cork MO was pick the biggest strongest young fellows they have but the persistent cynical fouling on Kerry players was embarrassing for that level (the ref will have sore lips from whistling them up).

Not being biased here but after a bad start Kerry played all the football and will be gutted to lose that.
Kirby is a fine player.
Correct me if I'm wrong but this is round Robin isn't ??

Both teams are into semis! You're absolutely right there was way more natural football and skills in that Kerry minor team. The Cork approach is short term but clearly Kerry are taking the long view and it's the right approach.

No, it was a 1/4 final where both teams get into a semifinal. Kerry v Limerick Cork v Tipp Kerry will be at home to Cork in the final Last year Kerry won the 1st game and Cork won the Munster Final, yet Kerry progressed further in the All-Ireland series. This year Tipp beat Limerick in their first encounter and Limerick won the final tonight. I fully expect Kerry to turn the tables also.
