Nothing wrong with a bit of passion on the side line, Kerry's aren't quiet like church mice. As for Rory Gallagher, spitting on his hands is a filthy habit. Ah jazus yer're getting a bit petty here; did you give a day with a sleán - the blashted youth of today! A bit petty to me would be anyone annoyed by someone showing a bit of passion on the side lines. I last worked on the bogs in 1995, very warm summer and my sandwiches and biscuits was ruined with ants.

Great to see Gavin White and Diarmuid O'Connor back, the team has missed them. I'm a fan of running at defenders at pace to break down systems, and they both do that.
Pleased for Donal O'Sullivan to get another starting spot, one of the few bright spots against Tyrone.

A bit petty to me would be anyone annoyed by someone showing a bit of passion on the side lines. I last worked on the bogs in 1995, very warm summer and my sandwiches and biscuits was ruined with ants. And you spat on your hands? Hey Dermot Earley Snr RIP was my childhood hero, holidays with aunts in Athlone may have been a factor; his self depreciating jokes, professional prowess - awesome, I always thought of him as an ideal President, of Ireland, the GAA - you name it. And I'd say he could handle a sleán - ah you have Heaney's Digging nagging me ya hoor ya, nagging a Ballydonoghoor! Enjoy the game, and yes, side line passion is part of what makes this great game the greatest and may it never change - ah I'd even forgive Rory, people have done worse in this sometimes horrible world - how lucky we are - the Irish win The Gold Cup on Paddy's day, then taking out the old enemy with the rabbit ball as a curtain raiser to The Dr Hydes going into the dragons den - will they win, here's to a great game and enjoy! I recall Fr Brian D'Arcy saying how Alex Ferguson couldn't get his head around non-segregated fans - that's what this world has become, the human species can't be trusted not to kill each another while watching sport. The game wouldn't be the same without 'the company' of the frenemy of the hour and we've all had great days - even a few bad ones we had were good!

Is that Brian Friels first time making the 26. Can't say I am too familiar with him. Brian Friel really shot to prominence for Rathmore in the AI final At least that was my first viewing of him He jumped out as an all out wing forward workaholic something Like Donnacha Walsh others here from east Kerry would be a lot more familiar with him But I was bowled over by his performance for Rathmore I know it’s Club but he really stood out Let’s hope he get minutes here as here he’d match up size wise with any number of the tenacious Rossies Im anticipating a tough tight game with nothing easy about it

The squad strength has improved on paper, just have a little concern around how much game time the returning players have had , time will tell.
I do expect a victory, but are we totally writing off the rossies, the game they play does not suit us, fast transition, any team that has run at us this campaign has caused us problems, but the downside of the way they play is they leave themselves open defensively, will be interesting to see how they handle DC.

Does anybody know will Breen be back anytime soon? I suspect, Breen is "made of glass" a very injury prone, pity, as he is a very versatile player that can play anywhere from 5 to 9 in my opinion. He is extremely comfortable on the ball,

Should be an interesting second half I’d like to see Jack Barry more involved Several games now without sufficient involvement Sean o Shea similar Brosnan s best half so far I’m glad we stuck with him You can see a few per cent improvement coming Donal Down going well too Some of our kick passing is a joy to watch Tom o Sullivan. Tony Brosnan and Paudie Clifford those three not many can deliver a kick pass like those lads. Gavin White a breath of fresh air

We won, probably made it a little bit harder for ourselves than it should have been, but a wins a win.
You'd think we're safe now, we'll wait until tomorrow's results to work out the permutations.

At 5 points up, the experienced Paul Geaney instead of keeping ball, passing back and running the clock down, needlessly decides to take it into traffic and work a score for himself and foolishly turns over ball drawing Roscommon on. A needless black card and a worrying looking injury later, Kerry just about cling on. So much for experience..... If ever a cameo encapsulated an entire game.

They need to stamp out the pointless high ball. If it's not on, don't bother. Very naive tonight, in a number of ways.

Kerry are anything but entertaining to watch at the moment. Regardless of results, we seem to have this plan of taking the sting out of games when we go 5/6 points ahead but this just ends up in inviting teams on us

The thing was we had an opportunity to hold the ball, run the clock down and take a breather. The game was won. Kerry were winning by 5 and Roscommon were in their full defensive shape refusing to come out. They were the ones who should have cracked but it was Geaney who cracked.

I'm just happy to get the two points but again made very hard work of it. We have a bad habit of letting leads slip and we def don't want that in the championship. Our discipline is a bit of a worry also. Black and yellow cards aside when teams run at us we seem to give away silly frees easily. We should be safe now hopefully but not a given yet. We will know more tomorrow eve. A few worries still. Seanie Ó Sheas does nt take many frees off the ground at mó and when he does from 45s he not going well. Hopefully it's just a blip. David very poor again but good goal and a classy point. Though he looked tired. I'd test him v Galway and I'd nearly give Seanie another rest too. Thought Barry Dan unlucky to be replaced but great to see Diarmuid back. Thought Donald own unlucky too. The important thing is the win but discipline has to be addressed. David is picking up a yellow in every game now and Morley and Graham sailing close to wind in every game. We can still reach final with a win v Galway but I'd still rest a few players. Finally if we def safe then it's time to give some others on the panel a chance or else dont name them on the 26. David's yellow was an absolute joke. You could see it in his reaction. Must say 2 weeks in a row the ref was appalling for both sides. Teams deserve better. Gavin White MOTM after 7 months out shows how important he is. Diarmuid aswell showed well. A win in Galway and a league final is possible.

O'Mahoney probably wanted to be seen to be the tough guy carding the top players. Went for Enda Smith soon after. Also, shame on the Roscommon player holding his head when there had been no contact there. Sort of thing that should be reviewed and sanctioned afterwards. The standard of refereeing has been really poor this year in my opinion. Terrible again tonight.

Have to say, considering they are League and All-Ireland champions, Kerry give the impression of a side that are somewhat lacking in confidence at the moment. Strange.

Every team we play now defending with 15 inside their 45 because they know we are clueless about how to play against it.
Need to keep a man on each wing, 2 or 3 in midfield to guard against counter attacks and switch the ball when one side is overcrowded. Not 5 ten yard hand passes when 1 kick would do in a fraction of the time.

Sometimes when the ref blew for a free it was hard to know which way it was going - Clifford never a yellow, Roscommon player held his head after the challenge. Great to see Gavin White back, his pace so badly needed. Tom O’Sullivan was excellent, could thread the ball through the eye of a needle - Jason Foley very solid. Having seen Donal Down & Tony Brosnan being given their chance, still think Killian Spillane & Geaney will be on our inside line - Brosnan did well but his missed chance in the 2nd half just has to be converted- Killian just seems to find space in and around goal & is more clinical than either Brosnan or Donal Down. Diarmuid O’Connor’s return is very welcome & his physical presence a must. Looking forward to Galway game!

Absolutely agree with all the above, Kerry always have a target on our backs but even more as champions. The team are learning that now. Let's get our first 15 fit and see then..We aren't far off it. I thought our fitness looked much better tonight.

Kerry were some bit entertaining last year and winning matches... my point was more that instead of Kerry going for teams they are now trying to shut up shop after 20 minutes. Happened against Donegal, Tyrone and tonight against Roscommon. 2 of those games we lost in the 2nd half as we invited those teams on and then tonight we nearly gifted Roscommon a draw by inviting them on also.

Losing 4 or 5 consecutive kickouts at the end was more concerning once Roscommon pushed up on us we were in bother going long . Rossies must have went home wondering why they conceded kickouts all afternoon probably a mistake in hindsight.
