Travelled to the u 20 game with great optimism but really disappointed with the performance despite the missing personnell .surprised to see so many defenders from last year minor team involved rememember this was a defence destroyed by cork in the Munster final and picked apart by an average Mayo team later in the competition. In fairness it is a new management team so let’s give them time but we are led to believe this is an extremely talented squad where an all Ireland win is extremely realistic .in fairness there were a lot of players missing through college commitments injuries etc but you would hope as these players return a more realistic and settled team emerges .I do think the u20 s will go a long way this year and I would be genuinely delighted for Tomas and his management team including Brian Sheehan from down south here as they bring huge passion and energy to the job but lads trust your instincts go with the form players who are consistent performers at a high level and an u20 all Ireland won’t be far away

Glad to see team announced in advance. I expect that Kerry will be more direct.

I was expecting big things from this team. I think Tomas has the makings of a good manager. Early days yet!

I believe they have played a few challenge matches and are training hard. It would be great if they get a decent run. Might unearth a Senior!

Kerry played & beat Galway on Sat last in a challenge game - strong team out, probably close to championship. Seán Broderick is out through injury, broken ankle & Mackessy was in goal; Caolan O’Conaill & Killian Burke midfield with a half forward line of Rob Monaghan, Thomas O’Donnell & Keith Evans; inside were Cian McMahon, William Shine & Luke Crowley. Not sure of the defence but it contained Joey Nagle, Armin Heinrich & Cian O’Donoghue. There were wholesale changes by both sides as the 2nd half progressed.

Galway U20s IMO are 4th best in Connacht this year but because of the draw (only have to beat Leitrim at home to reach the final) and silly scheduling (have have 2 weeks to prepare for that final against a team that will play 3 games in 2 weeks) they'll probably win Connacht. I think that highlights that the provincial championship at this age group really needs to be a group format. Kerry had a good minor team in 2020 (All Ireland series played in 2021) and somewhat left that All Ireland title behind them, how many of that team will be expected to start on the U20 team this year?

Can anyone predict a team for Monday? It would be great to get a decent run in this competition. It's a bit mad that it's a straight knockout considering the number of chances in all other competitions.

This grade is obviously not a priority for Kerry GAA. The minor Co League Div1 final at the same time. No team/ match day panel named as far as I can see. Dissapointing.

Anyone know what the story is with tickets for tonight? Can't see any option on the website; the ticket link just has the minor club final on it. Money at the gate maybe?
