Are county players allowed play club games, what with the condensed season? Risky.
I wonder if anyone ever did a study on how and why some lads progress from minor to senior, plenty of data there for sure, ah maybe tis a wee project for my Kerry Ingredient team, bearing in mind the cow feeds the body, the poet feeds the mind, and the body goes where the mind tells it, well unless a laddo is a bitten under the weather!

This final will be a damp squib.
Limerick hurlers have all the following for the Munster hurling final, so can't see many Limerick fans at it.
Kerry will win it pulling up.

I think Limerick will attract quite a few supporters with it being their first Munster Football final in 12 years. A lot of the Limerick football following are just from the other side of the county bounds so they might venture an hour down the road into Killarney. Limerick have always been well supported in big games I think albeit that is mostly hurling but they brought a big crowd in 2010 if memory serves me right. The fact that Liverpool are in the Champions League Final that night as well might draw more to the town to make a weekend of it. I can see 25,000 being at it if the forecast is nice.

There is a point of trivia here... when was the last time Limerick were in both the small and big ball Munster finals?

Did I hear 1934 being mentioned? 🤣 I've looked into this and the full list of the most recent year of Munster Counties participating in both the Senior Football and Hurling final on the same year are, beginning with the most recent. Cork. 2018 Tipperary. 2016 Clare. 1997 Waterford. 1957 Limerick. 1934 Kerry. 1908

I hope Limerick put two men on DC like Cork did. Why stop with two! I sincerely hope that JoC and Tally are putting two players on him in training anyway. I expect so. I hope so. The scores will have to come from others this year i think. Opponents will have learned from Corks approach.

Yeah I agree Mick,
I may be mistaken but I remember Kieran Donaghy suggested previously to JOC to have scenario based training.
Kieran suggested it as it was something others were doing successfully in other sports and notably Dublin.
JOC didn't take up the suggestion.
I hope that he has changed in that regard and he has Clifford being marked and a sweeper for him only. I also hope they are telling the others how to capitalise on that scenario because its going to happen.

You'd wonder what tactics managers keep on ice, until needs must?
Think JO'D and wan Neil McGee, ah sure wasn't it our own Hermit who recommended that Croke Park Tour - next time I meet the McGees I must ask 'em if he enjoyed it?
Sure we waz only returning the compliment, didn't Neil try to lead one of us around ASP, by the finger - Kerry and Donegal are surely notorious for tourist guides!

Not sure when tickets are released but I see for both Connacht and Leinster finals the tickets are €35 for Stand and €25 for Terrace. I can't imagine it being any different for this game either.

€35 is steep enough, is there any match on before like the minors?

I'm nearly certain that the Ladies final is the curtain raiser

I'm guessing the logic is in the event of extra time

Kerrys Eye reporting that Stefan Okunbor and Dan Donoghue will miss Munster Final.
Can anyone shed any light on Stefans injury?

Kerrys Eye reporting that Stefan Okunbor and Dan Donoghue will miss Munster Final. Can anyone shed any light on Stefans injury? Stefan's injury is believed to be a muscle pull in the leg. Not a reoccurrence of his Shoulder injury. Apparently suffered in the warm up vs Cork so he should be available again for the quarter final.

That’s a pity. It is highly unlikely we will see Dan or Stefan playing championship football this year even if they get themselves fit. They have not played enough.

Is there a trend of returned Aussie rules players coming unstuck as they readjust - David and Tommy, and now Stefan?
If there are any physio or medic types among us they may shed some light here, or maybe it is all just coincidence as opposed to a common cause?
