Don't think we're being premature by pointing out what way the semi finals are working out, I would imagine Cork will be favourites for this game, from my memory of these teams meeting at minor level cork won handily enough in tralee after a replay, I know Kerry's team will have changed a lot since then but with the injuries I feel Kerry are right up against it on Thursday

This will be a close game. If Mark O'Connor is back it should give them the upper hand around midfield. Kelleher in at full forward will be a dangerous player for Kerry they have to keep tabs on him. Could go down to the wire. I presume there is extra time if needed.

There is a couple of vital players unavailable, they'll be sore missed but hopefully the couple of lads that are coming back will be able to fill in the gap. A serious test on Thursday. I think we are in serious trouble if they get good ball into Kelleher. Our forwards are lifting in training though so Cork will have plenty to deal with also. Team announced tomorrow.

No team announcement so far tonight. Sometime tomorrow I presume. Alot will depend on the lads back from injury and how fit they are.

Any news of the u21 team?
My spys across the border tell me that Cork have a very potent full forward line. I wonder will Jack risk young Jason Foley at full back. I hope some of the injured boys are fit including young Brandon Barrett.

From the main Kerry site.
Kerry and Cork clash in the Eirgrid Munster Under 21 Final
The Kerry Under 21 footballers will be appearing in their first Munster Under 21 Football Final since 2012 and will be seeking their first title since 2008 when they take on old rivals Cork in the Eirgrid Munster Under 21 football final in Tralee’s Austin Stack Park on this Thursday, a game that has a 7:30 throw-in.
Kerry’s record is poor in this competition since they were last crowned champions and Cork have added five titles to their list and Tipperary two in the intervening years. Rather surprisingly, only one All Ireland title has come to the province in the interim with Cork defeating Down in 2009.
With Jack O’Connor and his management team moving up to the Under 21 grade having led Kerry to two All Ireland Minor titles in the past two years, it is hardly surprising to find that the bulk of the team is made up of graduates from those successful minors, however, injuries have not been kind to Kerry this year with Brian Sugrue, injured in the semi final against Limerick, the latest to join the casualty list. He, along with Liam Carey, Liam Kearney and Shane Ryan will not be available for the Munster final but on the positive side, Cormac Coffey, Mark O’Connor, and Matthew Flaherty who have had long term injuries, are back in light training, as is Brandon Barrett (Injured in the quarter final) – whether the Cork game has come too soon for these players or not is hard to know.
Kerry were made to sweat all the way before disposing of Tipperary and Limerick in their two games to date, but in contrast, Cork had it all their own way as they freewheeled past Clare and Waterford. Kerry will certainly be up against it against a more experienced Cork team
A big crowd expected, there were 5,500 present the last time they met in Austin Stack Park in Tralee in 2012 when Cork won after extra time and the Munster Council are advising supporters to pre-purchase tickets at the usual sources such online at gaa.ie, participating Centra and Supervalu Stores, at the Kerry GAA Store and from Austin Stack Park.
Tickets can be pre purchased right up to the 7:30pm throw-in time.

Surprised that Tony Brosnan has lost his place.
If Marc O'Connor is fully fit he could transform the team.
Big night for young Jason Foley marking a Cork senior. Still, Jason has been found wanting so far in his Kerry career.

I don't know about this one. On paper it's a better team than the last day but you have two big players coming back from injury who will be short match practice at every level not to mind inter county. Both are automatics but you'd have to wonder is a game of this magnitude a bit soon for them? You also have Barry O Sullivan just back from injury in the last few weeks as well. You'd have to wonder do we have too many top fellows not up to speed yet, time will tell. I don't know what tony Brosnan did wrong in the last 2 games not to be starting somewhere in the forward line but jack & co are looking at them every second day so they know more than we do. I'd imagine Brian o beaglaoich will pick up Kelliher rather than Jason foley ?
Hopefully we'll get the result & not pick up anymore injuries. It's going to be a cold one in Tralee so bring the woolies!!

I have to disagree, he got the goal alright against Limerick but generally he was very wasteful in possession. Kicking short/wide and into keepers hands a lot. Jack Savage was winning 20/80 ball whereas Tony B was beaten in most 50/50 or even 60/40 in his favour. A tough stick to beat him with comparing him with the talisman but I would have feared he would have been gobbled up by Cork.

As usual at this level its difficult to predict how the team will perform but it goes without saying that from the first day out, the panel now looks much stronger with Mathew Flaherty, Barry O Sullivan & Mark O Connor starting and Cormac Coffey on the bench. The pressure might have ramped up on Cork after the relegation of the seniors. Of course the pressure on Kerry to win an overdue U21 Munster title is also there. If it goes down to the wire hopefully the experience of the minor and Hogan Cup winning teams (and of course Jack & Declan on the sideline) will see us scrape through.

3 of the team dont have AI medals. Jack Savage is one without a minor All-Ireland. Who are the other two and are they 2013 minors or ones that made it at u21 but not at minor like Paul Murphy?
