see that the draws have been made for the various grades in this years munster colleges. 3 kerry schools have ended up in one grouping and 2 in another with no kerry team in some grouping. [ some one with better i.t. skills than me might put them up]
now that repeat students are back what schools will have hopes of dethroning p.c.d. or will they retain their title. will the sem or the green capture former glory?, have colaise na sceilige and i.s.k. players to remain competitive?.
amazed to see kenmare down to grade c, will have 2 or 3 kerry minors playing and gave colaiste cholm a right game last year, up 10 points at half time but panic set in on the sideline and they lost by 2 to all ireland champs.

St Brendans should be strong this year - think the Green are average. Mounthawk competing at this grade for the first time but have a few Munster B titles to give encouragement. ISK, Col na Sceilige and PCD will battle but of the Kerry contingent the Sem are probably the ones to watch this year.

Is there many of the All-Ireland winning minors still in school this year? How many have PCD lost? Looking at under 16 & 1/2 2 years ago, they would seem to be the strongest?

Its good to see 4 Kerry schools again in the hurling. Causeway in with John the Baptist Hospital and Salesian College Pallaskenry in the B championship. The 3 Tralee schools again in the D championship. Same in Under 16 1/2. Mounthawk would seem to be the only Kerry side playing in the Under 15 championship a D level also

Its a real shame how the Green has being performing so poorly of recent years. For a school with such a proud tradition and so many football men teaching there, they are really under performing. From speaking to pupils attending the school there appears to be not coaching to any degree going on within

I think it is a disgrace and an embarrassment. Imagine the main traditional boys school in Kilkenny city that had a proud history now having a team that wouldn't beat an average "B" team. The town and catchment area is producing footballers. It is an indictment of all concerned.
Look at what Jack O'Connor & Eamonn Fitzmaurice have achieved with their schools, and what all the other smaller schools have, including Causeway in hurling.

Does anybody have the current tables for the O'Sullivan Cup?

I'd imagine there's quite a large correlation between the downturn in the Green's performances and Mounthawks progress. The pool of good footballers that more or less exclusively went to the Green is now split across 2 schools

Does anybody have the current tables for the O'Sullivan Cup? Methinks Premier already knows the table - The glory of The Green is often overstated. No Hogan Cup in their history (correct me if I am wrong) and far fewer Munsters than the Sem. Yes they have had some fantastic players but they have consistently under performed and not won as much as they should/could have if properly motivated and managed. This is not just a recent occurrence.

The results and table are up on this website. If you click on 'football' in the menu across the top, you get options for 'results', 'fixtures' etc. One of those options is 'schools' and will give you the results of the games so far and the league tables. The Sem and Tralee have qualified for O'Sullivan Cup semi-finals from Group A, while Inbhearr Sceine hav qualified from Group B. Colaiste na Sceilge beat PS Chorca Dhuibhne and will be favourites to take the last spot - they play Tarbert in the last round. This week's games haven't been updated as yet but full credit to whoever took the time to put up the fixtures and results, especially the O'Connor and McDyer Cups for the weaker schools - they put in a huge amount of effort too and never get the credit or recognition that they deserve.

Table on Kerry GAA site. May have been a coincidence and if so apologies.

Games that are on tomorrow and a bit on the PCD and Chriost Ri squads [just the 76 players named between the 2 squads ] You'd say with those numbers they could easily have a 2nd game between the two teams munster.gaa.ie/2014/10/20/corn-ui-mhuiri-round-1/
