Latest from Listowel , they will play on Saturday but without Cox & Jack Mc Guire, also without Brian Mc Guire who is going away on Friday for work in England. Advantage Beale with Emmets missing these 3 big names any wonder they wanted to postpone the final but both North Ky board and Beale wouldn't accommodate their request to put the game back Would you give the propaganda a rest, FFS. Cox and Jack McGuire will be playing Saturday and you know it.

It's being quite here all week. Wonder what the state of play is for tomorrow. Stephen mulvihill is the ref I think. Will he be as firm as mike last week. Who is available for Listowel and senans? A close contest will surely be inevitable and Of course if Listowel win they are the better team however if senans win it's because the bold ref and all officials were against them. The same will apply if Emmett's are in final. Hope senans win just to read the crack here afterward!!!!! It's the off season after all so not much else happening. Odds are( I'm told so open to correction). List 4 to 6. Beale 6 to 4. Senans 4 to 1. If today showed anything about the last day, it's that ref had a bad bad day at the office. So your there with your smart comments about ref being against listowel, and listowel crying about referees. well if u can't see the difference between today's ref and the drawn games ref then Id say head on to specsavers for yourself. sorry for the delay getting back to u. I did post but it failed. Anyhow better team won the last day. Although ref was equally as good as first day. What's important to note here Any given Sunday is that u must be congratulated on being an even worse winner than u are a loser which is saying something. when I watch kerry or my own club I know I get a bit biased so I try to listen to reason now and again but u are one of the fellas with permanent fog on ur glasses. Players win and lose matches (& sideline) not the man in the middle. I never heard a fella saying " the ref won us that game" so why say the opposite? ? And thanks for saying my comments were smart.

I do enjoy the fact that Cox "isn't playing" but is favourite to get the first goal. Not even the bookies believe the constant pile of baloney posted on here by people/1 person with multiple accounts- about all things Listowel

I was at the Beale training last night. it was an open training for all the fans. the players signed autographs, took photos with the hundreds of people that came to whiteness the best north kerry had to offer while they were being put through their paces. They also performed some samba style party tricks with the ball to keep everyone entertained. It was a great night for all concerned and wish them all the best in the final tomorrow.

Do you honestly think that people in Listowel care what you have to say or think? If they could care less they would. Coming on here talking complete and utter nonsense does nobody any favours. The game is going ahead as planned and was never in doubt so stop speculating. Why don't you talk about the game itself rather the foolish notions and fantasies that you dream up. But we all know your lack of GAA knowledge prevents you from doing so. Your carry on is stomach churning and nauseating. Fellows like you should be banned from this forum. Ah Clancy hold off for God sake. Anyone can see the ref for the winning game had a better game then the one for the drawn game. On merit alone it was a better display. As for foggy glasses, I prob have but that's cause I have passion for the club and players that represent things. Emotions were high after the incident for Emmets 3rd red. Anyway it's done and I look forward to tomorrow. C U there I'll be up top right hand corner of the stand for a bit of banter ??

At first his presence was passed as just one of Ballybunion's regular tourists but the designer Emmets tee shirt gave away his identity. As he was escorted down North Kerry's only skyscraper by one of the Beale mentors he was heard constantly muttering "Our third string will beat this shower" followed by an eerie laugh. On further investigation it was discovered that a prominent Listowel businessman had booked out the complete top floor of the hotel.

This sort of nonsense above is out of order lets just concern ourselves with the upcoming final the jewel in North Kerry football Cox and the Mc Guire brothers are all set to play after consultations during the week, the game goes ahead Emmets have a few injuries but have a very strong to pick from as witnessed in the replayed semi final. I believe it will be a classic final, Beale trying to make up for 2 defeats in recent years and bridge the 25 year gap since they last won but with Emmets experience and firepower upfront along with a mean defence also throw in Noël Kennelly who will be going for his 7 th medal in a distinguished career ( Beale have only 7 titles in their short history). Maybe Beale will have to wait 26 years! Hopefully the weather conditions will ease and help to enhance this fixture, hope to see you in the stand AS IT HAPPENS

We all know that most of ye will disappear from here after this weekend and won't be heard from again until next years circus comes around! lol

The famine is over! Listowel were fast out of the blocks and to be honest beale never got going in the first half! Saying that they were only 2 behind at half time. Cox and brian Murphy had great first half while ger o gorman really performed! Beale 'big players' never got going in the first half atal with the exception of o gorman and nelius Mulvihill... Second half was a different story with the big boys standing up! Sean Dee made 3 vital saves at vital stages of the game and was outstanding! Noel kennelly very poor and let himself down big time when refusing to be taken off! Mulvihill was a deserving man of the match

Beale 0-11 0-10 HT 0-4 0-6
The bitter wind penetrated to the marrow and the rain and hail took turns in tracking through to the skin but the cockles of the heart remain as warm as ever after this full blooded confrontation in Ballylongford. The climate dictated that it was not a day for the sleight of foot or hand of any fancy Dans. On days from hell like today, unquenchable spirit, stout limbs and hearts beating to the rhythm of the parish are the ingredients mandated. Neither team was deficient in those commodities.
I did not see this result coming before the match. Indeed I did not see this result coming at half time. But I should have known better after witnessing Beale's stubbornness in the two games against Duagh in 2013 and indeed as recently as a couple weeks ago against Ballyduff in the semifinal. I suppose they were fortunate in that game with their late, late goal but it was a wise man who said you make your own luck.
Beale had that gale to their backs in the first half although it is fair to say that Arctic wind occasionally changed direction and frequently blew across the pitch. Still, one felt that Beale would want to be at least on level terms if not a brace of points to the good at the break but it was Listowel who had the advantage at half time. They were worth it and indeed could have had a more favourable balance sheet. After a flowing movement finished in the hands of Conor Cox it seemed inevitable that he would goal to give them a five lead against the breeze which should surely be unassailable. However, Sean Dee made a marvelous save. Crucial. He repeated that save in the second half, from Bryan Murphy I think, at a time when Listowel looked if they might pull away again. Make that crucial Mark II.
Another incident took place in that first half which also had a huge influence on the outcome. Ger O'Gorman made a great run towards the Listowel goal, one of many over the course of the game, and when he was about to shoot Noel Kennelly got back and threw his body in to thwart Ger. He succeeded in the sense that the kick went wide but he injured his leg in the process. Noel was flying only on one wing thereafter and eventually had to come off in the second half. Crucial Mark III.
Beale started the second half in a frenzy and it became apparent, even to know alls like myself, that they had not signed off on any deal yet. In the blink of an eyelid the scores were level. One of the points was exceptional, from James McMahon. James is not as agile as yore but the heart is beating as strong as ever and that point lifted colleagues and supporters alike. It leveled the game and signposted the ferocious struggle that was to ensue. Sweat and the odd drop of blood was expended and before we realized it the seasiders had carved out a two point lead and the fat lady was being ushered on stage. The underdogs were growling now but Listowel were not on the canvas yet and pulled a point back. Rain, hail, cold and wind were just minor irritants at this late stage. James McMahon won possession about fifty metres from the Listowel goal, towards the stand side. Listowel, ravenous for the ball, engulfed and swallowed him, forcing him to over carry. James took his ease about releasing the ball for the free. Not surprisingly, he was manhandled ungentlemanly! This was the signal for the mandatory North Kerry melee. Order was eventually restored without anybody being lost overboard. The free was taken, repulsed and the victor's arm, coated in the red and green of Beale, was raised. Neither team had anymore to give. What more can you ask for. Every ounce was left on the grass for love of community.
Sean Dee, as suggested, was a key man playing in goals for Beale. Jeremy King was selected at midfield but he was delegated to shadow Conor Cox which meant playing at full back for most of the game. One could not say that he dominated Conor but he employed all his wiles and experience to curb him as much as Beale could have hoped for. Shane Joy and Paul Collins were resilient half backs. Padraig Murphy and Ger O'Gorman were tireless around the midfield area. Ger kicked five from frees and made some incisive runs. Declan Bambury, as always, gave all he possesses and that is not trifling. Ian Mannix (0-2 and Barry O'Mahony(0-2) were industrious corner forwards. Shane Hanrahan and Toy Joy came on and played noble parts.
Finally, I must single out one man for Beale. A tall, sinewy client at left half back. He looks as if an electric current was shot through his body when he was a toddler resulting in his hair shooting up straight and fuzzy. This hair style gives him a very distinctive appearance. He goes by the name of Neilus Mulvihill. Neilus was terrific from start to finish and, above anybody else on the field, he epitomised the spirit of the parish.
This is a heartbreaking result for Listowel. They went about winning this championship the hard way, playing two draws on the way, and suffering suspensions and injuries. They played today with a full hand, more or less, and were confident of victory. They did little wrong today and had they won or drew they very likely would have deserved it. It was that close. There is no doubt Noel Kennelly's injury was a decisive factor with the result that those raking diagonal deliveries into Conor Cox, so effective on other days, did not materialise today. The two McGuires and Fergus Reen yielded little in defence. Bryan Murphy was a threat in the corner and scored two points. David Sheehy scored two as well but he was unlucky to be marked by the man with electric hairstyle and was eventually substituted before being electrocuted! Brendan Flavin made an impression when he came on. Conor Cox scored four from frees and two from play. A lot of those frees were earned by himself.
Listowel, no doubt, will cry into their pints tonight but a consolation for them is that they have a very strong panel which is peppered with a lot of rising footballers, who can only get better and stronger. I have no fears for them. But the day and night belong to Beale. After their heartbreak against Duagh two years ago who would begrudge them this one.

Congratulations to Beale. Showed some heart to come back in that second half. Nelius Mulvihill deserving man of the match also, he stood out straight away today with the big hairy head but as the game went on he stood out for his football abilities. Showed some leadership and determination for a young fella of 18 years of age.

Unquestionable as is his integrity, you could forgive Veteran if he was a fellow parishioner of mine. A few of our own heros of the past must have been humbled with the next generation. To those who can't crack the code, ah just a parochial moment! Congrats to Beale, and Emmets of course.
P.S. People have no need to go to matches with such an account as Veterans, if it was anyone else the GAA would be after you, keep it up man forever!

Beale deserved it, simple as. Listowel had chances to finish it but Beale were more clinical, Sean D with 2 great saves. I also never said listowel would only be beaten if the ref conspired against us. In NK anything is possible! Fair play to beale great win and enjoy the celebrations. I might be on for one ;-)
