Wonder will jack change tactics to combat donegal sweeper system hope we don't play into their hands think we have the forward line to beat them You adapt your tactics somewhat for the opposition but you must always be true to your own game to win. Therefore I think Jack will be cognisant of the Donegal system and have strategies for it but he will play to our strengths as much as he can.

The Donegal full back line is dog slow or slower again, so run at them at every opportunity. I think Killian Spillane looks to be a real grounded and solid all round footballer who can be target man for distribution or dam buster depending on the time and need. Our midfield in the second half against Mayo put on a display of some of the best fielding I've ever seen. Hyperbole? I thought it was sensational. We have two flyers, at 5 and 10 I think, I'm showing some ignorance here (red face) - Stephen McBrearty was Donegal's most impressive forward by far from play, so he'd be a main man to shackle.

I think in today's game the 15 you finish with is just as important as the 15 you start with vital we have game changers to come off the bench if we're in trouble as we saw in the semi final .

Jerseys were allocated to development squad players recently alphabetically - this removed to issue of who got "starting" jerseys and was novel. Slightly confusing when number 5 and 15 appeared on the halfway line for throw in but we got used to it. How soon before this happens at minor and even senior level.

Kerry's Eye did a nice piece on the double - Kerry going for their seventh minor-senior double. The first was 1931 and the last was 1980. Photo of the 1980 minors made interesting viewing.

Team being named tonight, think there could be a few "surprises" in the starting team but we'll just have to wait and see what way Jack and his selectors name the team.

Would be great if Bambo makes the final panel - but then this would mean somebody losing out. Hard on youngsters particularly if it is there last year as a minor. Expectation is one change in the forward division - all to be revealed tonight.

Kearney in Full Forward is what I was on about. Has been unstopable in the training games they've been playing. Rayel ahead of Carey to a lesser extent a lot of people were calling for Carey to start but we've a strong bench there along with a strong starting team too.

Rayel has been flying in training by all accounts and Carey hasn't been as impressive. Carey would offer much more from the bench too in my opinion, Rayel is more a of link man where as Carey can score more and may influence the game more when he is introduced.
First five subs are more than capable in making an impact if the opportunity arises, especially Kiely and Carey who will both feel like they have something to prove.

From the Kerry website: Kerry Minor Panel Profiles 2014 18th September, 2014 Way to make some of the lads in the senior squad feel old with the childhood heros bit Also Aaron Murphy might be in trouble with the some of the Crokes selecting James O’Donoghue as his childhood hero

He played all the games for the Kerry minor hurlers this summer and will be playing for Crokes in the intermediate hurling final sunday week and south Kerry are in the minor hurling final. I think he had success with a cork school in football as well.

I think Jordan Kiely is a bit unlucky to be dropped. I thought he was lively v Mayo especially in the first half.
Have to go with Jack's selection though. He is watching the form in training and knows best. Hopefully Kiely and Carey off the bench will win it for us. Kearney and Carey were superb off the bench last day

Kearney and Carey were superb off the bench last day Dropping a player that has scored 5-5 is a big call and there must be a solid reason behind it. Tough on the lad but if he ends up with an AI medal he will quickly forget it - can still contribute when (rather than if) he comes on. His contribution to date is a large part of why they are in the final and he should be proud of that.

I think jack has left carey and to a lesser extent kiely on the bench because he sees them as game changers if we are in trouble very important to finish with as well as start with a strong 15 Kearney in for his physical presence ie high balls ahead of kiely I would think
