Mixed emotions for us on today's result. On the one hand there's no-one we'd rather lose to in the final but on the other hand there's no-one we'd rather beat in it.

Kerry v Cork in Croker = Kerry Victory.
would anyone agree that whilst Cork were impressive in their game V Meath, the Meath team had peaked and therefore made Cork look better that they are. Kerry on the other hand played the Dubs who threw everything they had at them and won without playing impressively

Cork's midfield is the area I worry about most.....we broke even there today but Cork have more consistent men in Murphy, Kavanagh and Cussen than Dublin had today.

Yeah, Ciaran Whelan was shown up for what he is today: a totally overrated mullocker. Nicholas Murphy is head and shoulders above him.

Think Dublin played as well as they could today.... They threw everything at us - but Kerry was awesome again - and the great thing is that they have not really shown Cork how good we are yet (plus saw another side to Donaghy and cooper back on form at the right time) - so I look forward to crushing the rebels in the Football Final.... Stick to the Hurling lads.........

up to todays game i was thinking that if it was kerry in the final that this cork team had grown sufficiently to put one over on kerry in croker, but now im not so sure. it was a case of old dog for te hard road and kerry's experience was the key in the end. the way they killed the game and worked the clinching score being the most obvious example. at least now tickets will be easier to come by. should be a great occasion.

also, was delighted ye won. went into the game shouting for kerry anyway, but the antics and behaviour of the dubs was awful to watch and was really glad they got their comuppence.

Just hold the nerve. The common thread in the last three games was the never giving up and working through to victory. I think it's going to be a much tighter game than any we have played against Cork in Croker - but we will win out in the end probably by no more than three points.
If that happens at least there's going to be no talk about "another soft All Ireland", but it's going to be a bumpy ride for the supporters - the GAA should put on a health warning for people of a nervous disposition or suffering from heart or chest complaints ;D

What we want is for "Croke Park Cork" to show up . . . the alter-egos to the regular Cork squad

Thanks highfield! They seem a but tougher this year so hopefully both teams will be close... Ye've a few problems of yer own as well with the team. Although, I bet their are a few of ye thinking maybe Jack was right about Declan....

What problems would you highlight owenabue?
As far as I can see the main one up to now has been the lack of cohesion in teh forwards (somewhat rectified yesterday). But what we do see fromt hsi Kerry team now that if it is a war of attrition (monaghan,Dublin) then Keryr can stand up to it and come out on top.

In the mid field, if Darragh is injured and ye lost a good bit of ball around that area yesterday. Yer forwards are getting better, which is a bit of a worry... But would Corks backs be better or worse that Dublin's?

A munster final in croker in front of 83000 people to decide the all-ireland championship, what a massive occassion for munster people.

No matter who wins, it is nice for Munster... the provincial championship which nobody rates. Nobody had picked Cork to go this far so that is nice. Just hope we can win to help ease all this pain we've been feeling with want seems like the begining of time....

Munster championship is a higher standard than connaught and would match leinster. anthony lynch was walking into the game in front of me yesterday, they'll be really fired up and prepared for this one.both kerry and cork are hitting form at the same time but after seeing us in action yesterday i can't see us loosing.everytime dublin came close to us it seemed that we just tagged on afew more points.got our scores alot easier than the dubs aswell.

Theres a big danger in what you've just said Piggy. WE've put in some great semi-final performances this decade (2002 & 2005) without delivering on the big day. Hopefully, we'll stay focussed and see where our problems were yesterday and improve again because I think we'll have to. I'm not just saying that. Cork will be written off again now by the same experts that were writing us off last week. We need to realise that as brilliant as the team performance was yesterday, we'll need to re-produce it and improve in key areas like the kick-outs for one example. Still work to be done, it ain't over 'til its over and this is a long way from being over.

Heres hopeing Cork finally gets it right and beats what can only be described as an average Kerry team who just about beat a mediocre Dublin team and should have lost to Monaghan.Billy Morgan to walk into the sunset in a blaze of glory,a fitting end for a great servant of the game.Kerry will never be the same again, loseing to Dublin or Tyrone is one thing but Cork.

Dozy Davis mentioned on TSG last night that it seems Masters will be fit for this clash. Owenabue, gruaigcatach et al, would you rather see Masters start or continue with Goulding?

While its obvious that Kerry are not an average football team your assertion that 'there the greatest team of their generation' is off the mark. Tyrone are the 'greatest' team of the current generation of teams. They've beaten Kerry when its counted on the two ocassions they've met. Also no other team have had to overcome the tragedies and injuries they've overcome and remained competitive.

Agreed wayupnorth. Anyone with a dodgy ticker need not bother. Saves alot of bother.
Can see a number of clashes for the game. The most obvious being Galvin and O'Leary. Could be a lot of tension.
