Congratulations and well done to the Kerry Minor Football team and management on their magnificent victory against Tyrone in the ESB All-Ireland Minor Football Quarterfinal at Tullamore last Sunday. Earlier at the venue Galway easily overcame the challenge from Carlow in the other quarterfinal played. They will be our opponents in the All-Ireland semi-final at Croke Park on Sunday August 19th. It will be played as the curtain raiser to senior semi-final between Cork and Meath.

Thanks for starting this thread Mickmack. I dont think there has been enough talk about the Kerry minors as of late and people seem to forget that they are after toppling Tyrone and are heading into an All Ireland semi final. We need to get behind them this year. Im still mad over the amount of people that showed up to watch the final last year in Dublin versus the ones that made the journey when it was really needed in the replay. We were easily outnumbered 8 to 1 in Limerick which made a huge difference to the atmosphere. Lets make sure a repeat of this fiasco does not happen this year.

Limerick??it was on in ennis sure.agree with you about the crowd that travelled macker, was at it myself and i never saw one set of fans outnumber another set like that.although we'd never match the amount roscommon had there we should of at least had 8 or 9 thousand there. Galway hammered carlow in the quater final,we shouldnt be afraid of anyone now though considering we beat the ulster champs.galway and kerry always serve up a cracker so should be a good game.

Derry 1-8 Cork 1-7. Surprise score I think. Cork up 1-4 to 0-2 at halftime. Who would have though Kerry would go further when Cork were up 10 points in the Munster Final.

I though that cork were one of the finest minor teams I had ever seen................. based on the munster final.
Trying to predict what minors will do is a mugs game.

Its a pity its not on with the Kerry/Dublin semi final, I cant afford to go to Dublin 3 weekends in a row and I'm sure many are the same.
Hopefully the lads will kick on from the Tyrone game, they have a great chance to win it out now with Cork out and having beaten Tyrone.

Foolish enough of the Galway board. Sure it isn't as if the Kerry support would be that intimidating and Galway minors would have had a massive Dublin support behind them on the day. Sure what goes around comes around, and they may need a favour in the future. We'll remember that one.

Michael O Se. The space of Croke Park should suit Doolan and Kennedy down to the ground, wouldnt be surpised if Doolan lined out in the corner and I predict the two of them to do well, one if not both getting goals!

It's on RTE Joan, but not on Setanta premium in the pubs. It is however on Setanta broadband pay per view on your laptop.....
PM me if you want my log in details - I'll be keeping any eye on it on the sling media box.
