the fact we didnt play Dublin in a final for 26 years has a part to play in this too, being fair. weve lost 4 in a row since 2011, 2 were level in 73rd min and 1 after a replay. Bit like cluxton not conceding a goal since 2019 never mind the fact he wasn't playing since! There does be some load of blocks written ! The one I'm not looking forward to is when dublin pass us on roll of honour which probably will happen. Stop right there now.

That's you've witnessed obviously. Don't know why I'm asking, just thought there might be some interesting stories for the more senior posters. From my perspective, as someone in their 30s: 2019 2011 2008 2023 2002 2015 2005 Dad always reckons the 1972 replay was a though one to be at, cause it was the end of the two Mickos. He remembers O'Connell pretending to tie his shoe laces late on just to get a breather cause he was so gassed. Obviously in his opinion 82 was horrific but for for some reason when you press him he'll talk about 72 first. Any and every All Ireland final defeat is difficult. Personally thought 2011 and 2015 were tough, I remember at the time just being miserable for myself and those with me, but this year for some reason it's the players that I think of the most. The sacrifices these fellas make for the team and for the county obviously are huge. Particularly disappointed for the Clifford family who've had a rough year and really wanted it to happen for them.

2002 was hard to take. I felt very sorry for Paidi & his nephews, after the summer they had. I felt very upset going home that day.
