I think it is more of a case of getting any right - 'to predict is hard, to predict the future is impossible!'
Maybe put one's guesses, and that's all they are, in order of, well reverse order, of how unsure one is - and even at that I still wouldn't/couldn't call any. While non provincial matchups might be better, Ballybofey and Pearse Stadium will be up there with the old Provincial Finals, ahead of the current day with knockouts. The former will be like never before, with Tyrone having stumbled and Donegal being such an unknown quantity at the moment - I sense they will both find their mojo and serve up a feast and there might well be 6 good Sam/Liam servings on TSG.
Regarding the competition structure, I don't get the argument that head to head is irrelevant - in fact I think it a savior as it keeps teams on their toes and the plight of Mayo and ourselves, and as two top teams, is testament to this - either could have topped their group or both could be knocked out of Sam at the drop of a hat. This is good for the Louths of the game and great encouragement will be taken from this across the board.
The unfortunate aspect though is that we have 6 Sam/Liam games in one weekend and along with a host of other magical GAA encounters including 2 AI semis.
3 Sam games on GAAGO is a big flaw though, as if it wasn't bad enough that neutrals who don't have helicopters couldn't make them all, and many would, so big lost revenue there for the GAA.
And then we will only have 2 weekends of action after this one. Ah clubs must be facilitated too so nobody is saying it is simple, unless of course the GAA want to give us some of the money back and buy us all a chopper, ah maybe one per family!

So we now look to the other 3 prelim QF's with even more interest knowing we will face one of the winners - cannot meet Cork in QF next weekend.
The likelihood of Northern opposition has gone up.

Happy for Cork,
They have taken down 2 D1 teams this summer.
Roscommon play an awful style of football.
Munster needs a strong Cork.. Not too strong mind you.

Correct Tyrone definitely in the mood.. Escaped last week by centimetres and a totally different team tonight. For sure who ever draws them Monday morning will be in a battle next week. They have dialled our number a few times if we draw them will be some game I’m thinking…

By my calculation we will be drawn against Monaghan or Tyrone . However if Galway beat Mayo tomorrow they are a possibility for us .
We owe Tyrone so bring them on .

That’s correct.. If mayo beat Galway we have either Monaghan or Tyrone.. Can’t play Cork or mayo. Of course if Galway win we can draw them.. Have a feeling will be Tyrone.. If so a good test for us…

Mick I am thinking specifically of ‘21 and the ‘ cute hoorism ‘ of Tyrone’s gamesmanship around their ‘ sick ‘ Covid players . Some recovery to see out extra time ?

They’ll probably structure it, if they have any common sense, that Kerry’s opponents are decided first so that is crossed off and Dublin’s last.

All the permutations that can't be had complicate the process..Im only wondering how the draw is conducted so all these are taken into account!!

I think for efficiency purposes they’d have to draw kerry out first as otherwise they could be there for a while

There can't be a team that is pucket first, then it ceases to be a fair draw. So by my reckoning, as soon as a team in Pot 1 selects M'ghan or Tyrone and they haven't met already, then Kerry must be paired with the other immediately.

They will still continue with the draw I should add. They won’t remove Kerry and Monaghan/Tyrone from the bowls. They’ll just draw again until they get a pairing that can meet
