Spa 1-12 Rathmore 0-8 (ht 1-8 to 0-4).
Shane Ryan and Paul Murphy named in subs for Rathmore.
Also, both Cliffords named as subs for Fossa.
Wasn't at either game, so no idea if any of the four featured.

Both Rathmore and Fossa are out next weekend in the Munster championships and presumably that is their priority -club schedule has been brutal for the sides that have been winning and the divisional championships come at a bad time.

If Spa are at anything like full strength, they could give this competition a good rattle I think.

A double header without being a double header then?

what would be the reason for that, forcing people to pay twice?

You'd be back to the 80s since Spa last won, 88 or 89.

A comfortable win for Crokes despite Spa having the favourites tag going into it. 1-18 to 1-07 with the Spa goal improving the scoreline for them at the end.
Some very suspect refereeing saw Crokes finish with 12 and Spa seeing no one given their marching orders.
The performances of Keiran O'Leary and Brian Looney really stood out, with both going level with Gooch and Eoin on 12 O'D cup medals.
All in all a reasonable year for a Crokes team with a lot of youth having played much of the championship season without major players.

Crokes by far the better team but there was an incident near the end that could have ended in severe injury for a player.

I think Spa believed their own hype in this game. Never showed up. Crokes are always a dangerous side with the forwards they possess and have been for the past 15 years.

Not a bad year for Crokes. Introduced some youth this year and we’re in kind of a transition and rebuilding.
We won the East Kerry minor championship as well this year so the future looks good .

Form is temporary (Spa), Class is permanent (Crokes)
Very poor showing by Spa. Outstanding displays by Tony B and the veterans: Brian Looney, Kieran O'Leary and Daithi Casey

Crokes played very well and moved the ball brilliantly. Spa were very disappointing and are probably better than what they showed.
Crokes have a good balance of young and old and whispers around East Kerry of them being in demise seem to be well off the mark.
