Mid 90’s two Kerry clubs had four members in with the Kerry Senior Panel, one was division one club Laune Rangers - who was the second club? Brick Rangers? Spot on, Bernard McElligott, Conor Kearney, Tom Connell and Pat Slattery, McElligott and Tom Connell later lined out for St. Pats Blennerville, Kearney won an all Ireland club with Laune Rangers ion the forty.

This man won a minor medal with Kerry and subsequently played rugby for Ireland. It’s not Dick or Donal Spring, or Moss Keane or Mick Galway. Philip Danaher I am not sure that Philip won a minor medal.

Anyone help me on why Tarbert moved from Feale rangers to Shannon Rangers? Musical chairs down the years but never got bitter, the rivers didn't move but the way the solicitors behave it could be that they altered the maps a bit - they have done worse. BTW are Beale and Ballylongford the only NK clubs that never played with Feale Rangers? Veteran, what age was Ogie in a Bally' Shannon Rangers jersey making his debut in Tralee of a day? Though only a babby I get that feeling of peace brought about nostalgia from toe to head, literally, the sun was high in every sense, neither Ned Barry nor my father, two cautious men, had and reservations - you'd sense they were as excited as the children and as I recall nobody was disappointed, a stellar performance but it is more my instinctive memory if ya with me! These days you have to be so old to get in places, then you had to be so young to get into the side-line! Jackie Walsh (Barry was later?), Brian McCarthy, Skinny O'Connell, Donie Mulvihill, Johnny Bunyan - ah the O'Donohues - if we are going back half a century here it puts Ogie at 16 and which is etched in my auld head, we had a few pints after so I stand corrected on detail, apart from the stellar performance! I wouldn't trade the memory for all the tea in China, even the porter was creamy and wance the boyeen in blue recognised me he waved us on, he knew I was able to handle her as we retreated Northwards, topping up in Browns in Ball'duff. Fond memories. Vet might fill us in on Ballydonoghoors with the 'Rangers - Bud Connor, Jerdie, Christy Enright, Sean Hilliard, Ger Brown - for all I know I saw photos lately of 'hoors I didn't even know played county, let alone 'Rangers. Ah maybe the good times will come back! BTW wasn't Bomber was a late developer? Ambrose too? Did Robert Bunyan play with County Minor hurlers? - he sure played big ball 'cause 'twas a collaboration between me and the butcher who saw to that - like Tadhgeen and Galvin, International haymakers, The Dá thaobh of Dá pairs of Dá-hoors!

When did Fergal play for Kerry? Didn’t he live in Mallow? Would have been the late 2000s. He played in the league but not in the Christy Ring. He would have been one of the "outside players".

How many players played dual for Kerry seniors. I know of Johnny Culloty Johnny Bunyan Pj McIntyre. Paul Galvin played senior hurling with Kerry very young. Enda Galvin might have played both but I'm not sure. Ronan O Connor from Ballyduff played senior hurling before oddly showing up on the football panel a few years later. Tom Collins is a famous example of it in the 50s.

One of my earliest memories of football, when I was in early years of primary school, was of Declan Lovett playing senior football at corner back (I think) against Longford in an AISF, maybe '67 or '68. E&OE.

Musical chairs down the years but never got bitter, the rivers didn't move but the way the solicitors behave it could be that they altered the maps a bit - they have done worse. Thanks Bally Hey with respect, anthing I'd be sayin would be 'back in the day' stuff, 25+ years! A Jimmy Woulfe of Listowel penned an auld book 'Voices of Kerry', yeah, all in there, even wans we didn't even know and sure I knew 'em all, but wan laddo, a judge, wan of our own who's name escapes me, he split the county between Normans and Celts, and whatever chance he had of getting a conviction from a Norman NK jury, not a chance down under, SK Celts were as Omerta as Sicily. But then cirrimick wasn't there the 'Box Of Butter' case that didn't need a jury, ah we had a star solicitor, a NK Star Solicitor, The Northern Star! And as they say, the rest is history and we are the rest!

What have Brendan Lynch, Eamon O’Donoghue, Bryan Sheehan in common as regards their Kerry football careers? . I could have thrown in another name or two as well , one in particular , but I felt it would make the answer too easy.

An easy one: the GAA officially purchased Croke Park in 1913 so can you name the year and venue of the rare occasions since then a senior All Ireland was not held in that stadium?

What have Brendan Lynch, Eamon O’Donoghue, Bryan Sheehan in common as regards their Kerry football careers? . I could have thrown in another name or two as well , one in particular , but I felt it would make the answer too easy. Each played championship football for Kerry in goal and outfield. Brendan played for two years and possibly three as a minor goalkeeper . The closest he cams to a medal was 1965 when we were beaten by Derry in the final. He subsequently won senior medals as a wing forward in 1969, 1970 and 1975. I am not sure about Eamon’s underage career but he played in goals in the senior Munster final in 1967 which Cork won. He won his senior medals as a wing forward in 1969 and 1970. Bryan played one or two years as a minor goalie , forget the years, before moving outfield. Seamus McGearailt won a minor medal as a goalie in 1962 and a senior medal as a corner back in 1969. Johnny Culloty made the reverse journey. Won a senior medal as a corner forward in 1955 and senior medals as a goalie in 1959, 1962, 1969 and 1970. There maybe others that I cannot recall in this category.

1984 hurling final held in Thurles. Cork v Offaly And of course 1947polo grounds New York Cavan v Kerry Was it in 1948 that the hurling AIF was held in Killarney?

Correct Killarney is the third venue outside Croke Park that an All Ireland was held in since 1913, but it was the hurling in 1937 and Tipp gave the Cats a good trimming.
The crowds were so bit that the hotels and guesthouses couldn't cope and many people slept in doorways the night before the game.
