How did the minors do at the weekend? Who played well? Sorry to hear Colm Browne is injured, he's a big loss. Very good defender.

Kerry minors play a challenge last weekend and Colm Browne played and was excellent by all account - scoring seems to be an issue as a bit like the U20’s - they are gone v defensive - looking forward to the first round game next week

Many Rumors are spreading that this guy is out and that guy is out , we won’t know who’s out until we see the team that takes to the field Thursday evening best of luck to these men hopefully the style is more attacking compared to the 20s . I can see James costello having these boys well setup anyway.

There is a huge emphasis on North Kerry at the moment and I don’t think it’s a healthy thing for Kerry football - do all you can to promote the game and the skills etc but not as a penalty to the rest of the county !! Last year North Kerry were beaten by East Kerry in the minor semi final - one the players from that East Kerry team now on the minor team should be captain - they earned the right .. obviously this is not a slight on the player picked to be captain but a grievance with the process - I wish him well and James Costello and his management team the very best - Hopefully this will be the year

That would be par for all Kerry competitions - in fact - I think it’s in the rules of the district competitions for all districts and rightly so - this is now the business end of the AI - and they need everyone fit and healthy - I hope the team is named tonight - get the debate going !!

A ridiculous post as surely the best thing for the county would be to have all divisions contributing rather than overly reliant on one or two. Can you detail how the rest of the county has suffered because of any bias towards north kerry except for your spurious remark about a captain chosen by the team manager?

I don't know Cormac personally, but I have seen him play and he is intelligent, vocal, and focussed. He has the look of a natural captain to me - Ferris impressed me in that regard as well. I stress again that I don't know these lads personally, and I saw no need to change the method of appointing captains. It had nothing to do with our defeats to Dublin, which seemed to be the main argument put forward on the floor in regards to the senior captaincy (the minor had been changed previously; it appeared to be a compromise). But I certainly don't see regioncy bias being any factor either. On a side note, I used to preview the minor games for a local publication; it's gotten very difficult since the change to U17. In my opinion, that has been an absolute disaster for all involved.

Odhran Ferris and Colm Brown are big losses. I rate both players highly. Great to see Jack Clifford starting. He's been unlucky with injuries.

Does the winner tonight get home advantage in the Munster final provided the loser beats Tipperary or how is it decided? it says on munster gaa page Tipperary are home Tipp play the loser of tonight's game and they get home advantage for that game. The winner of tonight's game is straight into the Munster final. If it's a home-and-away arrangement for the final, they Kerry will be home if it's Cork in the final as the last final against Cork in 2019 was played in PuC but if it's Tipperary it will be away because the last time Kerry played Tipperary in a Munster final was in 2015 in Killarney. Last year Cork v Limerick was played in Semple and the previous year Kerry v Clare was played in the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick. The year prior to that Kerry v Cork was played in PuC but the year and the year previous Kerry v Clare was played in PuC so who knows how it works for the final. Wait and see what develops. Both team who get to the Munster final advance to the All-Ireland qualifiers. Dublin and Kildare are in the Leinster final. Ulster semis are Saturday - Cavan v Antrim and Monaghan v Donegal. Connacht have a round-robin tournament and are midway through it.Mayo have won 3 out of 3 and Galway 2 out of 2 so looks very much like those 2 are odds on to be the two teams to come out of Connacht I had a look and I couldn't find anything on the GAA Master Schedule about when the quarter-finals are scheduled for and what province is playing what province. Had a look to see if there was anything about the minor hurling and couldn't find any schedule for this either. Weird. Hopefully the showers have passed foe the game tonight.

I had the master schedule a couple of months ago, but I deleted it for some unknown reason. I remember that the All Ireland quarter finals were down for the weekend of the 11th/12th of June, but there wasn't any details of which provinces were playing each other.

Is it not the same as the Senior? it always used to be. In which case we would be playing the Leinster winners in the semi final (or whoever beat them).

Kerry motoring well now after a slowish start in the first half.
Well taken goal and some nice points and they are hunting in packs not letting Cork get any easy ball.
