Hats off to both sides, highly entertaining final, agree the missed wides after the goal were crucial and the missed kept Nass ahead, some great scores by both sides, condolences to the SEM , congrats Nass. #entertainingfinal

I think that was one of the best matches I’ve ever watched. A really exciting end to end game with loads of brilliant plays. Fair play to both teams for producing that spectacle. Hard luck to the Sem, they were very close, if little things had gone their way they could easily have won but it wasn’t to be. In saying that Naas were deserving winners they’re a serious side. Their forward unit always looked very dangerous. Their number 15 Commins had a great game. William Shine was once again outstanding for the Sem kicking 1-4 from play of the highest quality added to the frees he scored. Luke Crowley had a massive second half and Dara O’Callaghan had a big second half too. Cian Foley had a good game as well as Cian Lynch.

Great game lads, disappointed for the Sem a poor first half cost them, it matters not as its underage football, sure we won 4 in a row hogan cups 5 in a row Minors and we have nothing to show for it at senior.
Crowley and Shine stood out for me, Crowleys basketball flick around his back was pure class and only a Kerryman would have the confidence to try that.
We might not win allirelands anymore but our teams are still the classiest teams to watch.

I hadn’t seen Naas before but based on reports on this forum the game was exactly as I anticipated, Naas were a big, strong team with plenty football ability and played an uncomplicated game. Brendan’s were a bit on the light side but showed more class at times. They had slightly more possession overall I think, but they had weaknesses in both defence and attack. Upfront they missed a number of scorable chances and in defence preferred to shadow than to tackle. This suited the lanky Naas forwards who had space to swing the legs and take the scores.
There will be better days ahead for the Brendan’s players. Mention must be made of of the class shown by Luke Crowley when he switched the ball from right hand to left by hopping it behind his back in the midst of an aggressive tackle, and seamlessly moving on, leaving the tackler mesmerised. Few players would have the audacity to try it in an AIF.

Luke played midfield for the kerry under 17 hurling team 2 years ago. Very talented Great game of ball today , hard luck to the Sem

"I do think in the next couple of years they [will] retreat into the chasing pack with everyone else. Maybe Tyrone or Kerry will push forward or the likes of Armagh or Galway might jump up."
Paddy seems to have missed the bit where Tyrone became reigning AI champions. And Mayo the runners-up.

I just watched my recording of the Hogan Cup Final. What a game of football.
My prediction is we will see a number of those lads on a bigger stage in years to come.
William Shine and young Crowley at no. 12 stood out for me. Massive talents.
That hour flew in.

It would be nice to watch again on a wet Tuesday night next January. It shows the full potential of the game when played like that.

I wonder is it possible for someone to download it and maybe upload it as a video on YouTube?

Mercy Mounthawk are in the Frewan cup final u16 and a a half first time ever for the school it’ll be a big task to overcome as they’re facing st Flannens they’ll need massive preformances out of kerry minor duo paddy lane and odhran ferris to get over the line in my opinion

Hopefully they'll get over the line.

Sounds very impressive. The Kirby lad, is he son or something of William?
