Agreed. I have no problem with one mark from a kickout. My initial fear was that the game would disintegrate into a series of marks and become like netball. To be fair this hasn’t happened. I meant to be clear that it was really the forward mark I was talking about. It just feels wrong to me that a player can get what is effectively a free kick for catching the ball. Hi Markisback Could you outline whether Tyrone intercounty players are allowed to play any club football between say april through to August while they were with the county panel. Also does the same policy apply to minor and under 20 intercounty players. Apart from the county championship, are there many other competitions for club players....such as county league or divisional competitions. Sorry for all the questions....i am just curious about how much football inter county players play in Tyrone MM the Tyrone league starts around May and runs right to the start of July (where it breaks every year for two weeks) but I dont believe any county players were involved in club games. Once Tyrone won Ulster the league was postponed and just started up again after the AI final .. the championship has also obviously got going after the AI final too. btw PTGs two sons (Darragh & Ruairi) were playing at the weekend for Errigal and scored 1-5 & 0-5 respectively. apparently they ran riot. (some would say the younger Canavan is the better player - early days yet of course) I believe there are league games scheduled well into December.

Keith Ricken taking over in Cork, a good move for them. He will have them playing attacking football and give young players their chance at the very least. Ray Keane, brother of Peter, is one of his selectors.

When I read the headline I genuinely thought Lars Ricken was taking over Cork City with Roy Keane as his assistant.
