Shane Enright gave a very good and interesting interview on the GAA hour this week.
He was on to discuss his retirement but gave a good insight into how things went with Kerry this year and covered a number of topics we have discussed on here, he spoke about:
How he started most, if not all, the early season league games as a half back but then was dropped without any real discussion on his form. His role in the team and how he was told he would be used as a half back this year but then that changed without really any explanation
The set up and how the plan was to try keep teams to 12/13 points, a plan which would never work against Dublin
The loss of Donie Buckley, how he was an excellent defence & attack coach and also how his departure was never really explained to the players
It’s an interesting interview and I’d recommend everyone to give it a listen
