Quarter final draw An Ghaeltacht v Na Gaeil Desmonds v Dromid Glenbeigh v Beaufort Laune Rangers v Spa Neutral venues Na Gaeil Desmonds Glenbeigh Spa Na Gaeil vs Gaeltacht the hardest to call I think. I'd make Spa favourites and then Na Gaeil. Desmonds could cause a stir, but question marks remain about the back line. No such issues up front, Dr Dave has the shackles off and they've played some great attacking stuff. Is it open draw again for the semi final?

I don't recall ever hearing of Na Gaeil as a garsún and living outside the county, and at times the country, for most of my life, has me wondering how they became so successful. We'd have Letterkenny Gaels which would constitute a lot of newcomers to the town and while they achieve, methinks the Tralee boyos are doing exceptionally well.
Anyone care to sum-up how they made it? A field must have cost a lot in Tralee.
Letterkenny Gaels share grounds with the local rugby club and it appears to works out well and sure hurlers and footballers co-locate

Desmonds march on into the semi finals. Game wasn't streamed so relied on twitter and radio kerry for updates. Game was close at half time, but Desmonds ripped through Dromid in the second half. Maurice Hickey with two goals, Cian W O'Connor, Luka Brosnan and Cian Dom O'Connor with a goal each. Thomas Hickey involved in everything and put over 5 frees. Is it an open draw for the semi finals?

Glenbeigh v Beaufort Tight to call, Gavin Grady was carrying a knock into the county final, if hes out id give Beaufort the edge. Two teams that know each other really well, could go either way for me
Laune Rangers v Spa I think Spa will win this out, Rangers are coming again and their underage structure will see them rise up over the next few years but Spa have too much power at the moment
Am I right in saying that these will be the last games till kerry seniors are out of everything?

Beaufort deserving winners for me today, glenbeigh with the strong wind in the first half seemed more intent on stopping Beaufort main players Mike Breen and Sean ó Brien, double marking Carey from playing, with a man down and against the wind 2nd half glenbeigh started the better team and without scoring had there best period of the game with Darren rolling back the years and a joy to watch, Grady and Darren at this stage were threatening for glenbeigh but no scores came from it, Liam Carey then scored a great point for Beaufort and split glenbeighs defense wide open with a great pass for young O'brien to finish confidently to the net and Beaufort were wellon there way after that, for glenbeigh when they threw off the shackles Darren was excellent and a constant threat 2nd half with ogrady, for Beaufort Mike Breen excellent, Sean O'Brien and Pádraig doona very good Beaufort back line very and when it was needed Liam Carey gave them that extra bit of class

Comfortable wins for Beaufort and Spa by the looks of it.
As strange as it sounds, could it be argued that the losers yesterday potentially could be in a better position in the long run?
Winners next Sunday are immediately thrown into senior and could lose their status again in a a matter of months.
2021 winners will be in a great position and the possibility of a Munster campaign also.

2 comfortable wins by Beaufort and Spa. Any views on this final? The 2 finalists seem to play attacking football. Should make way for a great final.

Spa 4-18 Beaufort 1-19 HT 1-9 0-9
A beautiful day in Killarney and Mother Nature was rewarded with a fine contest in the first half but unfortunately only Spa kept their side of the bargain in the second half. There was a fair sized attendance with a good scattering of people on the Terrace side. How wonderful it was to be back again.
In that opening half we had some fine long range point taking by both sides. Shane Cronin , Dara Moynihan, Evan Cronin, Michael Foley and Nial O'Mahony were among the point scorers from play for Spa. Mike Breen, Ronan Murphy, Liam Carey, Padraig Doona and Ciaran Kennedy matched those efforts for Beaufort. While both sides registered those fine points, one felt there was more danger coming from more areas for Spa who had an ability to utilise the wide spaces of The Stadium which Beaufort did not have to the same degree. In that half , Beaufort positioned Ronan Murphy at full forward and delivered a lot of high ball into him with little success. Ronan is a fine specimen of a man but he does not have the agility for tight spaces. He played the second half at midfield. The crucial score of course in that half was the Spa goal. It was created by Evan Cronin, a menace in that first half but less active in the second half, who weaved his way through and fired in one which hit the post. Corner forward, Cian Tobin , was alert for the rebound and cracked it home. Decisive indeed. Cian did little else in that half but he was only reporting for work at that stage!
Points were exchanged at the beginning of the second half and then Cian Tobin intervened again. Wing back, Gary Vaughan, made a terrific run up along the stand side, parted to Cian and stake number two was driven through Beaufort's heart. That was the fatal one. But Mr. Tobin mercilessly made assurance doubly sure, Shakespeare I think, when a ball was intercepted and he cracked home his third. A little housekeeping was all that needed to be attended to now. Again, some good points were exchanged before substitute, David Spillane, rubbed salt into gaping Beaufort wounds by scoring another goal. Beaufort got a consolation goal near end and and fittingly it was livewire corner forward, Padraig Doona, who got it and deserved it for efforts all through. Padraig scored a couple of points also.
Spa had an outstanding halfback line, particularly Shane Cronin and Dan Donoghue. Dan had a good duel with Liam Carey, both being fine players. Liam Kearney was the most stylish and effective midfielder on view. As already stated, most of the Spa forwards posed a threat and they all scored if my recall is accurate. Michael Foley was an impressive CHF and of course Dara Moynihan, as one would expect, was pacy and smart and played always with the head up. Dara has got very strong and it goes without saying that he was sorely missed against Tyrone. All going well, he will be a priceless asset for us next year.
Beaufort can have no excuses. They were overwhelmed in the second half. Kieran O'Sullivan was a sticky customer at corner back. It was difficult to know where Mike Breen was playing. He popped up in a lot of places, productively, and perhaps they would have been better served if he had been assigned a more defensive role, especially when one considers all the goals conceded. Sean O'Brien was a a little more prominent in the second half but sadly limped off as the half advanced. Young Jack O'Connor came on in the second half and and showed a few neat touches but up front ,for Beaufort, only Liam Carey and Padraig Doona shone.

Dara Moynihan started against Tyrone and was brought off at half time. Unless my memory has failed me completely.

That result will have an impact on East Kerry's hopes of three in a row county championships - four Spa players started for EK in the 2020 final with another four on the bench.

Dara Moynihan started against Tyrone and was brought off at half time. Unless my memory has failed me completely. I would love to know did he get a knock after a few minutes. That time that the Tyrone player ran by him to set up a score was shocking. If they picked an unfit player it is inexcusable.

That result will have an impact on East Kerry's hopes of three in a row county championships - four Spa players started for EK in the 2020 final with another four on the bench. It will take some excellent players away from them alright but from last year they will be gaining players from Kilcummin. Also Kilgarvan and Tuosist players are available to them, they were as well last year but none were involved. They still have an unbelievably talented panel with great strength in depth.
