Rathmore surely have to be hot faves for this? Are the semi final draws made? If not you would think that if Rathmore and Gaeltacht avoid each other then they could make it to the final

Gaeltacht, Spa, Rathmore and Dromid. Rathmore Spa final if they aren't meeting in a semi.

now that headquarters have decided that there will be no allireland club championship, will this take away the major bonus of winning out club competitions in counties. will clubs pass up this years and wait for a crack at the major double next year which based on kerry clubs record is a realistic goal.

Not a chance, it’s only a short few weeks, everyone will go he’ll for leather to win this and all competitions. It’ll be the losers that’ll console themselves by musing on winning next year and having a shot at AI clubs as well.... in my opinion

Big time, seems to be the view from a lot of clubs. It has knocked the good out of it. You could definitely say senior club is a waste of time or a relegation championship.

Would it not have made more sense to go straight knockout for this? Instead the county board have changed it so the top 2 go through and theres more games. Might take a long time to finish this competition

Might take a long time to finish this competition I think it's a good idea. County league, if it goes ahead, will be a slimmed down version. 2 getting out of each group in the intermediate and junior competitions gives more games and reduces the chances of a dead rubber so all 3 group games will count. Straight knock out would have meant a lot of club players playing one game for the rest of the season if the county league didn't resume.

Very little talk about these championships in the run up to their start. Rathmore, An Ghaeltacht, Glenbeigh and Spa seem to be the favourites to top their groups. Laune Rangers, John Mitchel’s, Dromid and Na Gaeil would be the best bets to get through to quarter final stage

Thomas and Danny Hickey both back fit. If championship had been held in April, they would most likely have lost every game. As things stand I would now pick them to come out of the group. Rathmore to win it all is still my prediction however

Should be a cracking championship.

Intermediate and two Junior Grades will be very hard to call as no county league form to go by and no idea what players clubs have lost or gained.
In Group 1 I'll go for An Ghaeltacht and Marys
In group 2 I'll go for Spa and Na Gaeil
In group 3, Rathmore and a draw between Ardfert & Desmonds
In group 4, Glenbeigh and Milltown
Would be great if some clubs streamed games this weekend

Surprised with the draw, 1-10 each between Laune Rangers and Rathmore.
I see Peter Crowley lined out at number 8 for Rangers, would like to hear how he played if anybody was at the game.

I saw the Rathmore team before the game and I thought it didn't look too strong on paper. Paul Murphy at 8 is far from ideal and they looked to be lacking in consistent scorers in the forward line. Still, I'm surprised Laune Rangers managed a draw I thought Rathmore would have been strong enough to get over them. Spa had been my prediction from the start and I stick by that.

Some collapse by Rathmore, lost by 4 after being 9 points up at the start of the second half. 2 points in the second half is a chronic poor return for a team just down from senior. Massive win for Gaeltacht too against St Marys, Marys team looked a little depleted though from what i saw on twitter. GG in the driving seat after a comprehensive win against Waterville. Dromid beat milltown so the GG/Milltown game is crucial next week. How does it work if 3 teams finish on equal points after 3 games?
Na Gaeil and Spa already qualified from group 2

For a match like this, it would take no more than a couple of three figure bets for a bookie to suspend betting and even less when people are backing the draw.
