All four groups impossible to predict with any great certainty. A great competitive draw The only thing that I would say is that the outright winner will not come from Groups B or C

Looks like this will be an exciting championship. Any of 6 could win this. I think given the draw, Listry have to be the dark horses for this. Gneeveguilla/Listry final with the Marc O Se factor being the deciding call.

Gneeveguilla/Listry final with the Marc O Se factor being the deciding call. It takes a lot more than just a manager to win a championship and especially with a manager who has very little managerial experience. I think Listry will have enough to come from there group but in my opinion they just don’t have enough quality defenders to contain some of the forwards at this level. For me there are a number of strong contenders. A lot can happen in those 2 county league games. Form/injuries etc from those games determine a lot. I would see Ballymac and St Senans as the benchmark here. They have been around the grade for quite a while. 1st game in the group is the crucial one. Should make a great championship though.

If fossa have both Cliffords firing they'll be very hard beat, as I said previously I think many fixtures could have venue being the deciding factor as teams are so equal across all groups

This one seems wide open, for the first time in a few years theres no real standout team. There are some cracking ties to look forward to

Have the winners of Round 1 home venue in Round 2? Think round 2 is neutral venue between the winners of r1. Fossa with the 2 Clifford's and 2 O Sheas in their attack must surely be in with a great shout?

This looks like a great competition - theres about 10 or so teams there that have as much chance of making a semi final as they have of being in a relegation playoff.

Things are very quiet on here with teams gearing up for action this weekend. Some interesting clashes coming up. St Senans and Listowel should prove interesting in Finuge. St Senans have had the upperhand here of late.

Pity, as there'll be lots of good young talent on show

Did anyone go along to the Fossa and Ballyduff game? Must have been a fine sight to see David Clifford at that level. Got me thinking it must have been one of the very first times David played a competitive game for Fossa seniors having come straight from minor to senior and all, fairly mad if so

David is 21 and had been eligible to play senior for 3 years. Last year alone he played 3 junior championship games and 2 East Kerry championship games for Fossa.

For sure. Another notable result was Skellig picking up a point against Ballydonoghue, although I believe they were quietly fancied. Anyone at that game?

One of Skellig players working here in Killarney was a happy chappy yesterday morning. A long with the 2 points, serious money made as well from certain bookmakers in Killorglin.
