Wouldn't want to let Killian Young's retirement pass without comment.
His farewell words give a good insight into the absolute gentleman he is. As verified by all his previous managers, he was an understated but effective presence on the panel over a 14-year period. Good luck for the future Killian, and thanks for the memories. Glad you got your just rewards from the game in terms of titles and awards.

Killian's 62 championship appearances puts him 13th in the list of most appearances, one ahead of Seamus Moynihan and 4 behind Bryan Sheehan and the long-time standard bearer, goalkeeper Danno Keeffe.
Chipped in with 7 points along the way as well.
Always carried himself with grace and dignity for Kerry, South Kerry and Renard, something that set him apart from a great many others.

Mr Dependable on his day. Showed great character to come back from broken ankle in 2013. Comfortable in any position 2-7. Fitted in seamlessly in 2007 when Moynihan retired.
