Best wishes to all the folks on here who are following teams today. I think the senior final will be a great game of ball. I've a strong sense that a draw is on the cards but I think Mayo will win if Dublin don't produce a full-on performance.

Dublin to do the business today I think, with a few points to spare. It would be the same if Kerry made the final.

Only 9 of todays starting team for Dublin started the 2016 final.
This is startling considering they are going for 3inarow.
Talk about evolution.
14 of Mayo started in 2016 final

Once again Dublin are not bringing their A game to the final.
Too many bad misses by Mayo I fear to withstand the cavalry.
O'Gara should be gone.

Mcquillan worth 3 points to dublin in first half.
There was a free in to Mayo that he didnt give and dubs broke down the field to score. That was a two point swing. He gave dublin a free in for nothing in the last seconds of the first half.

If only McQuillan would pull his hamstring I'd say they'd do it 😎

Surely the GAA will outlaw the pass back to the Goalie from the kick out.

Mayo have mastered the tackle , a bit like Ireland did with the choke tackle in rugby.

Valiant by Mayo but they still will have some soul-searching. Crazy stuff by Donal Vaughan. Madness.

Silly by Vaughan, I thought he was pretty indisciplined in the first semi final and could have cost mayo.

Mayo's re-emergence in 2011 coincided completely with Dublin's final arrival at a winning formula. In another time, Mayo might have got there even once but it's hard to see where they can go from here. The heartbreak must be unimaginable.
Well done to Dublin. They really seem to have the gods of fate on their side (apart from that 1 blip back in April). I'm sure they'll enjoy some modest celebrations.
Well done Rashers and Skybluzone and all our metropolitan comrades. Enjoy.

Interesting fact: since losing to Down in the 1994 final, Dublin have been to 7 finals (including drawn match) and have won 6, they have yet to lose a final in the modern modern era

Up the Dubs. Greatest team ever. 3 in a row fantastic achievement. Mayo threw everything they had at them and they stood up to it. The 4 in a row is on now nobody to stop them. Mayo on the other hand are Chokers, Losers. Failed again on the biggest stage. It's a joke at this stage how they fail. They always have something the blame every time. The Refs, the Weather, The Curse. Bottom line their Leaders can't lead them over the line. I salute the Dubs. Great Team.

That claim of greatness is open to interpretation- the Dublin machine of the current era is indeed a good one. The level of change in personnel in the winning sides is testimony to this well oiled, organised and financially supported machine. Most great teams of other eras had far less change in personnel from victory to victory. The squad strength has been key to their victories which have had more close encounters than previous great teams going back over the years I would suggest.
