I missed Glenbeigh's opening game v Rahillys but by all accounts a draw would have been a fair result, Glenbeigh lost by 2pts. It will be interesting to see how they do against stacks tomorrow evening.

Legion were poor tonight vs Rahillys; one point over 60 mins speaks volumes, their goals kept them in the game but they will have to be disappointed overall. Tommy Walsh led by example from full forward, kicking 8 points, 7 from frees, a couple for fouls on himself; John Ferguson with five scores from play was the outstanding performer - Rahillys will be happy with this and it should give Tommy a lift to be back playing with the club and performing so well.

Dingle had a slow start versus Kenmare allowing them a 6 point lead but after that they were awesome. Average age of the dingle team was 20/21.

I decided to go watch Milltown Castlemaine against John Mitchell's and I have to say what a great brand of football Milltown play. Young team they have. I was doubting them this year but look safe already. I was reminded by a Dr Crokes man at the match Milltown Castlemaine are most successful club in Division one outside big 2 over last 12 years. Mitchell's and Glwnbeigh look Div 2 standard.

Crokes destroyed Mitchels last night 3-21 to 1-5. They appear to be in rampant mood at the moment. Mitchels and Kenmare already look doomed

Legion still pointless after 3 games, some tough encounters ahead too. Templenoe flying high with a 3 point defeat of Rahillys- they looked in trouble @ h/t when down by 2 points ( 0-7 to 0-5) with Rahillys missing a couple of goal chances too. Again the first 10 mins Rahillys squandered some good chances and then Templenoe hit a purple patch knocking over six unanswered points to lead by 11 to 7 with 10 mins remaining; Rahillys fought back and the sides were level @ 12 pts apiece with a few minutes left; Rahillys looked for the lead and pushed up from the back but a block down in midfield resulted in a turnover and found a Templenoe player in a 1:1 with the keeper and he duly rattled the net; worse was to follow for Rahillys when Gavin Crowley intercepted a quick restart and feeding his inside line for a 2nd goal; Rahillys responded with a goal of their own but it was too little, too late.

Templenoe flying it in fairness to them - Mitchels Glenbeigh and Kenmare in trouble Templenoe are a good young team and off the back of their AI success doing well - one of only three teams on full points after three rounds (Crokes and Dingle) - have they any intercounty players missing or are they picking from a full deck for their games? Four teams with no points is also notable - could be a real scrap at both ends of the table as the year progresses.

Cian Halllisey missing since he got injured in the first game. Killian Spillane missed the Desmonds game due to U21 duty. I don't think anyone is leaving for the summer. Speaking of which i wonder how much the rescheduling of the county league this year will affect players decisions to stick around this summer...

In relation to this how many rounds of the club championship are being played and how deep into the summer will that go?

Edit: just realised it was club championship you said. SFC down for last 3 Sunday's in May and July 10.

Mitchels were very poor. I think they will go right back down. Hard to see where they will get the points. Crokes are flying. They were missing Gooch Buckley and Fionn. Ambrose O'Donovan Luke Quinn Gavin White were also missing. They still had a strong team out. 1 Shane Murphy 2 John Payne 3 Mike Moloney 4 Cillian Fitzgerald 5 Jason Lyne 6 Alan O'Sullivan 7 Shane Doolan 8 Eoin Brosnan 9 Mike Milner 10 Andrew Kennelly 11 Gavin O'Shea 12 Brian Looney 13 Kieran O'Leary 14 Daithi Casey 15 Chris Brady Subs: Miceal Burns David O'Leary Tony Brosnan Jordan Kiely Mark Egan Bryan O'Shea

Think Mitchels, Glenbeigh and Kenmare will go down myself just not at the same level as the other teams here. Really amazed at how mitchels came up from the 4 that were in the playoff, they are a good bit off div 1 standard really.

Any reports from the Round 4 games - Templenoe doing really well having taken points from two of the top five.

Any reports from the Round 4 games - Templenoe doing really well having taken points from two of the top five. I was in Strand Rd on Fri night for Rahillys/Kilcummin game; both teams were short some regulars with Kilcummin most affected. Poor fare in the first half, passes going astray, lots of wides on both sides; highlight was a goal from Jack Savage who intercepted a short kick out and lobbed the retreating keeper for a classy finish- h/t 1-6 to 0-4 for the locals. Rahillys picked up the pace considerably in the 2nd half with Tommy Walsh lording the middle and prompting many attacks through the middle resulting in a flurry of scores with Jack Savage finding the net for a second time. Running their bench, Rahillys ran out easy winners on a score line of 3-13 to 0-10.

They are having a great year. Crokes beat Rahillys in a tight affair. Both sides were missing players. Crokes were ahead 0-6 points to 0-5 at half time. Tommy Walsh went off injured just after half time and was a big loss to O'Rahilly's. Jack Savage came on and played well. It was 8 points each with about 15 minutes but Crokes kicked five points in that time to pull away in the end. Giles O'Grady Kieran O'Mahony and Jack Savage were good for O'Rahilly's. Daithi Casey was very good for Crokes. Tony Brosnan kicked 3 points from play for Crokes. Eoin Brosnan and Ambrose O'Donovan were good also. Crokes team: 1 Shane Murphy
2 Cillian Fitzgerald 3 Eoin Brosnan 4 David O’Leary
5 Jason Lyne 6 Mike Milner 7 Shane Doolan
8 Ambrose O’Donovan 9 Daithi Casey
10 Andrew Kennelly 11 Gavin O’Shea 12 Brian Looney
13 Tony Brosnan 14 Kieran O’Leary 15 Chris Brady.
Subs: PJ Lawlor Luke Quinn Bryan O’Shea Shane O’Neill.

Glenbeigh missed a great opportunity to take 2 pts here, as you have said Templenoe were missing 4 key players but Glenbeigh failed to take advantage. With 10mins to go Glenbeigh looked like they were in command but some ridiculous errors and negative play cost them in the end. After playing very well against Mitchell’s Glenbeigh could and should have 4pts on the board, every game vital now if they are going to hang on to their Division one status.

Glenbeigh had a big win against Milltown over the weekend, I didnt get to see it but belive they were on fire. It's going to be a dog fight between 5 or six teams to see who will avoid the drop.

I think the story of the night is coming from Milltown. Ref was pushed to the ground and kicked by a Legion player at the end. Hard to believe this happen in Div 1.

This player is in for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after that. Ref got kicked in the ribs. Just had a glance at the rule book and this would be category VI which should mean 48 week suspension. Red mist obviously decended but it took four of his team mates to pull him away. Idiot!

The referee in this case should take legal action. In any case a life ban would be appropriate.
