It was very sad news to hear of Paddy Curtins tragic loss of life this morning. Such a young lad with his life in front of him. Thank you Patrick for your service to Kerry; I was hoping to see more of you; may you rest in peace. Sympathies to his family, friends, colleagues and community.

Shocking stuff, RIP. Anyone know exactly what happened?
I'd imagine Tyrone's Colm Cav had a moment of reflection today.
My favorite memory is his debut against Dublin in first league game in 2012. He looked taller and bigger that night when he came on after half time. Everything that came his way stuck. He linked Darran for the game's only goal and most pivotal score. I was excited about this new target front man leaving Croke Park that night.
Sympathies and best support wishes to his family and friends.
Life is too short.

Shocking and sad especially at this time of year. Condolences to the family. Like Fitz above I remember his debut against Dublin and we had advance warning that something special was on the way. He may have only appeared in ten League and six Championship matches but there will be kinder times ahead when those closest to him can look back with pride on his achievements for the Kingdom.

Very sad news,Just thinking back to that night v Dublin in the league he was brill that night,Just as he was making his mark on the Kerry team in 2012 (im nearly sure he played in every game that year) there was a squad of new kids on the block emerging the 2 Geaneys,Johnny Buckley and Jameso were really staking a claim for starting places on the Kerry team.
Still great to see his goal v Donegal on the web the last few days and would love to see his appearance v Dublin if anyone has a link.
I'm thinking the Horse has him already in training for the Feale Rangers team above.

Like everybody else , I was horrified when I heard this unspeakable news . I probably saw him play more often than most people on this forum because of the North Kerry championship. After one of my reports here one member wondered jokingly in a private message if Patrick was related to me because of my effusive comments on his exploits in North Kerry. He seemed to me to lack nothing to become a great forward. He had the physique, hands, feet, temper and economy of movement.
In spite of all the aforementioned attributes, one cannot say that he developed into the first rank of inter county forwards. This may have been due to lack of application, work commitments or perhaps ongoing injury problems. The point I am trying to make is that it would have taken very little to transform him into one of Kerry's best . I felt he was that good anyway. Of course, these comments are no more than trivia in the context of the tragic ending of a life terminated much too soon. Patrick thank you for giving me so much pleasure over such a curtailed career. May God look after you .

I agree with Veteran, Patrick Curtin had all the material necessary for an inter-county career, and I was sorry to see him leave the panel, and hoped that he may return.
All that pales into insignificance now of course, but I hope he is remembered as a quality player. I didn't know Patrick, but heard he was a gent and he never mouthed at referees despite coming in for the treatment associated with top players.
RIP Patrick, and condolences to his family and friends.
