Just thought we could discuss championship games in other counties. Would be interested in hearing from the exiles in Dublin/Limerick etc whats going on around the place.
Went down to see Nemo and Na Pairsaigh on Sunday in Cork was a good enough game.

Madmac, you've Carrigdhoun v St Nicks this Saturday if you're in Cork for the weekend. 6.30 in Páirc Uí Rinn. Quirke, Nicholas Murphy, Prout and Spillane play for Carrigdhoun. Or the hurling semi final between the Barrs and Erin's Own on Sunday in Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Sunday at 4.00. Just if you're stuck for something to do like!

Listowel B Won.. Outscored Asdee by 1-10 to a point in the second half. Young Brian McGuire of Listowel gave an exhibition of marking on Eoin Kennedy (Kerry minor) in second half of game. Kennedy was doing untold damage in first half.

Nemo won yet another County Championship yesterday. The game wasn't too bad, but Nemo were not as good as I have seen them play in previous years. Kavanagh got MOTM, Masters was quiet. Ilen had the beating of them, being two points up at half time and maybe, if Wycherley (best player I felt all day) hadn't gone off injured and they took more chances they could have won. However buts and maybes don't win county championships. If Nemo are to progress in the All Ireland, they would want to improve a lot, especially in midfield.

Vincents won the football in Dublin beating St Brigids. The last time Vincents won was 1984. It took them 23 years to recover from that last minute goal by Castleisland Desmonds!
Vincents lost the hurling final to Ballyboden ........ Colin Keaney starred for Ballyboden

Michael O Se from Castlegregory who transferred up this year was playing midfield for St. Vincent's. Watched the Galway county final during the week on Setanta. Padraig Joyce's Killerin beat Milltown. Terrible fare though. It makes you appreciate the standard of football here in Kerry.

Vinnies to play Senechalstown of Meath in Leinster, who have the Sheridan Bros on their team. I fancy Vins to win Leinster this year, they have been building up to it

Lot of confidence in Vins there, you cant rule out Portlaoise, AI finalists (and should have at least drawn it but for a very questionable decision by a young fella at the death) 2 years ago and more than capable of going at least that far again this year. LAcking a midfield, but they'll be hard stopped and wont fear anybody.
Just gotta get past St Pats this weekend of course.

Yeah the same man stacks, do you remember him playing for the green? Great fielder of a ball I do indeed Falvey - fantastic fielder alright. Always thought, seeing him through the Green and the minors that he'd go along way in Kerry with football. Delighted for him. I presume Tom Humphries is in his element after the St. Vincents win?

I saw that Mick. The final was a dour, tight affair, mostly controlled by Vins after an early Brigid's goal. Brigid's played their Armagh style with 7 at the back. O'Shea did well enough at mid, which Vins won overall. The stars of the night were Brennan (how he wasnt in the Dub senior squad this summer beggars belief), Golding, Lally, Paddy Andrews (may be in county squad next year), Barry Cahill (played out of position) and Connolly (another who should have been in Dubs sqaud)

is that Diarmuid Connolly....... dropped by caffrey for playing U21 hurling if the rumours are true Dassright. Another poor game today, Vins had a few bad wides in the first half, then a 2nd half dogfight, Sens reduced to 14, Vins lucky to scratch a draw in the end. Replay Navan will be tough, however Sens had advantage of extra game, hopefully Vins will hit the ground running next time. I was in work today, so unable to give more of a report. Heard Connolly & Mossie were off their game, Brennan good again. Great win for Boden over Oulart in the hurling - Bring on Ballygunner, Ballyhale, Birr, or whoever!

Ballyboden won a Leinster hurling match?
It shows that Dublin are definitely improving and that Wexford will have a long winter of coursing to keep them outdoors.
