Interesting draw alright, few rivals pairing up!! Would expect Ardfert to make it thru to the quarter finals anyway but would expect Ballyheigue to beat them in quarter final. Good to see the big two clash early one taking one of them out of the way, can see Ballyduff edging it. And Lixnaw to beat Crotta. Not much between Causeway and o'dorney, maybe gine the nod to o'dorney on there County league form.

not much being said about about the big games here,
ballyduff v kilmoyley should be hard hitting, ballyduff more physical team but kilmoyley are the better hurling team, verdict kilmoyley A'dorney v Causeway - evenly matched teams but expect A'dorney to get through as Causeway seem to bottle it in Stacks Park Lixnaw v Crotta - like the A'dorney v Causeway game it could go either way lixnaw will pull through if its a hurling contest but if it gets rough crotta will be in with a shout south kerry no hope............... Ardfert v ballyheigue - verdict ballyheigue alot of good young hurlers and some old ones after finding a new lease of life,
to win the C'ship - Kilmoyley may scrap it all qf games here are very hard to call , no team will be beaen by more that five points a quarter final stage

what happened the kilmoyley hurlers last yr if they are better hurlers, reckon lixnaw could be surprise packet dis yr,supposedly paul galvin has given his commitment to them

apparently its not paul galvin we should be worried about at all this year, its his younger brother regi who's back after a double cruciate injury. word on the street is that he's flying in training.. he was a fantastic hurler and footballer growing up. unfortunate that he lost the last two years, he's still young though and im thinking he'll be featuring a lot in this years championship.

WEll his name is Raymond, called regi always though! Ya he is a serious player, if he's fit could cause fierce trouble to defenders in this years championship!

Ya Anthony Daly is still training Kilmoyley. Don't think the team is going as well as previous years. Eamon Creagh has been with Lixnaw for the past few months and things are flying for them. Eamonn Fitzmaurice is the player to watch this year. I fancy Lixnaw to win the Championship.
Betting for the Championship: Ballyduff 2/1 Kilmoyley 5/2 Lixnaw 7/2 Ballyheigue 4/1 Ardfert 6/1 Abbeydorney 6/1 Causeway 6/1 Crotta 14/1
Ballyduff Vs Kilmoyley: Ballyduff victory Abbeydorney Vs Causeway: Causeway victory Ardfert Vs Ballyheigue: Ardfert victory Lixnaw Vs Crotta: Lixnaw victory
All games to be played over the weekend of the 24th August. With the exception of the Lixnaw Vs Crotta - I think it has been agreed to play this game the following Tuesday evening. All depending on the All Ireland Semi Final. If Kerry lose Paul Galvin is straight into the Lixnaw set up.

Its asking a lot of John Egan surely.............
Already he has scored the match winning goal in the 2007 all ireland intermediate football final for ardfert........... he has starred for Ardfert in Div 1 of the county football league............ he has represented Kerry in the Christy ring cup in hurling .............. and he has palyed Junior football for Kerry.......... all in the first 8 months of 2007.
Still.......its hard to keep a good man down

dont rule ardfert outta the runnin..very young team but i expect them to come on a pile after the south kerry game,if they can get a couple of games played before ballyheigue it cud be interesting..ballyduff and kilmoyley should be a cracker and the champions could well come out of that game but in championship you never know

There no fear of Egan, he only a young fellow, sure he'd stay running all day for you... Im sure he cant wait for the Ballyheigue game!

Would expect Ardfert to beat bally with ease. I think Ardfert are an up and coming team with a lot on there side, example, in Ardfert football was number one for a few years now but with them out of the senior champ (which they did very well in) and more or less safe in divison 1 of the league they have nothing else to consentare on than hurling, and speaking to a few of them they tell me they would give their right hand for a medal.
The hardest game to call is ballyduff/kilmoyley. I fell Bally might shade it but too close to call. One thing is for sure is that if bally win they will only get better as the champ goes on. But whoever wins this should go all the way.
I expect Odorney to come through this battle, Think the hurt of two years ago and the poor performance of last year should drive them on.
Lixnaw to win against crotta but wouldn't expect them to get any further.
