Who'd be first on your shopping list?
I'd go for Sean Kavanagh

Cavanagh possibly, but I'd be looking to strenghten our back lines and would get Anthony Lynch and Ryan McMenamin in believe it or not.

The reason i went for Cavanagh is that I think Midfield talent in Kerry is seriously lacking. There doesn't seem to be many great Midfielders playing at the moment with other teams around the country. McGrane, Darragh and Cavanagh probably the top 3.

Lynch is well past his best, he's been cleaned out in the last few games against Kerry. I'd take Darren Fay

I'd firstly look to strengthen our backs. So I'd probably go hunting for the likes of: Collie Moran, Seán Marty Lockhart, Karl Lacey, Joe Higgins and Ryan McMeniman.

For problem areas: Graham Canty at fullback

I'd probably go for James Masters as a long term replacement for MFR. Cork don't use him as effectively as they could and he'd really thrive in a full-forward line with Gooch and Donaghy especially as he'd be on the weakest of the full-back line. Impeccable from frees as well. Besides that, Canty as he could play midfield or full-back. Others on the shortlist: Cavanagh, Clarke, A. Brogan, Brendan Quigley, Bryan Cullen and Tadgh Kennelly.

Right so... Paul Galvin, Stepen O' Neill when he's fit, Mattie Forde and Marc Ó Sé. That's about it I'd say. Wouldn't training be very interesting?!

If I was from any other county than Tyrone I'd be buying Conor Gormley for sure ! Anyway, I'd go for the obvious Gooch to replace Canavan (Almost ) Mark O'Sea would be next and Darren Fay next !

The question should be answered in the context or where Kerry need strengthening. Midfield - with dara likely to hang up the boots after this year Backs - tom sullivan is a more natural corner back so we could look at a full back. Also either a centre back or a top quality wing back
Therefore Sean Cavanagh Canty Bryan Cullen Tom Kelly are all in their prime. Would have loved to have got a young Eamonn O'Hara.

Would agree with you on the other 3 though!

The only powder I get on the Hill is blowing over from the culchies in the Hogan - some amount of make-up or wha? Full back - agree, we are relying on a high-risk hope that 19 yo McConnell can become the man in a very short space of time. The premature loss of Paddy Christie has been a hard blow. You wont find too much argument about Casey, who seems to be there more for work rate than football, and has been very mediocre this year. Combining that with the Collie Moran issue, most of us want Moran in his natural wing-back position instead of Casey. If not Moran, then the very promising Ger Brennan should come in, which would increase the team's scoring threat also. I'd just about take Collie for his experience though. I'm happy enough with the forwards as long as Mossie & Bonner find their form, with Jayo reverting to substitute. The big doubt for me is whether Mark Vaughan can keep his head when the pressure really comes on, which will no doubt happen against Derry at least. Alan Brogan needs a big kick up the rear exit

So who else? Paul Lawlor of Laois, Beano pre-leg break. Canty of course, and Masters, Spillane, Murphy. Gormley, Dooher, O'Neill, McGuigan, Mulgrew. Donaghy, Cooper, O'Mahony, MFR, Galvin, Dec O'Sullivan, Marc & Dara OSe. Clarke, McDonnell. Bradley, Muldoon & McCloy, O'Doherty. Gallagher. Michael Meehan. James Nallon. Moyles, Reynolds. Havent seen enough of Monaghan to say Of course, I'd only have them all as subs!

As kerry manager, i'd be quite happy with my new winter signings Micheal meehan(for an undisclosed fee), Graham Canty(raising hell with cork fans moving to kerry), Diarmuid murphy's understudy-Meath goalkeeper Brendan Murphy, back-up in the backline in the form of laois' joe higgins and return of prodigal son tadhg kennelly to bolster midfield with a gaa transfer record fee of E15m

I would take Sean Cavanagh, Canty and Conor Gormley. There are very few forwards out there that would improve our team.

Now........... in October 2007.......... after the dust has settled............ who would ye buy now if ye could buy two players from other counties. Padraig Reidy, Killian Young, Brian Sheehan and Seamus Scanlan have shown what they can do. Tom Sullivan did his job at fullback.
Which two players would it be now...........
