Hardly worth a debate this. My views are already stated in the seeded draw thread

I could be wrong but looking at the Munster and Ulster draws I fancy Kerrys chances of winning in Munster more than Tyrones chances of winning in Ulster.

Louth will be all out to show they weren't one year wonders.....but other than that, another handy stroll to the Leinster final for Dublin.
The seeded draw means that we won't have a game between potentially the second week of April and the first week of June, and again from the first week of June to the first week of July!

Same as this year again and we'll be at our most vulnerable in the Munster final or All Ireland quarter final as has been seen in the last 2 seasons. It makes me laugh when people say the draw helps us win Sam when if anything it puts us at a huge disadvantage. Other counties get good games at regular intervals while we're expected to find form after waiting at least a month against a team that's battle hardened.

Another one of those little pissy swipey articles in one of todays papers having the usual yearly snipe at kerrys draw for the championship, they must have them all saved on the lab top and release them a certain times during the year.
it obvious theres no will out there to change the provencial system, but i supose this time of the year they have to justify their pay pack.As long as people want to hold onto the provencial championships so that the sligos and clares might get emotional wins every 50 or 70 years i dont see the point in harping on about the draws as they stand.
infact i think the top counties would thrive in a more balanced and fair draw with a level playing field.

I think there was a proposal a few years ago to re-align the provincial borders so that the provinces would be 4 groups of 8 with a back door. I think this idea has serious merit. you could divide it up as follows;
Munster; 1 Kerry 2 Cork 3 clare 4 waterford 5 Tipp 6 Limerick 7 Offaly 8 Wexford
Connaught: 1 Galway 2 Mayo 3 Rossc. 4 Leitrim 5 Sligo 6 Westmeath 7 Longford 8 Fermanagh
Ulster: 1 Down 2 Antrim 3 Derry 4 Tyrone 5 Armagh 6 Cavan 7 Monaghan 8 Donegal
Leinster: 1 Dublin 2 Meath 3 Kildare 4 Wicklow 5 Laois 6 Louth 7 carlow 8 Killkenny/London/New York
Not sure what other people think but idea always appealed to me for the reason that it
1 retains provincial championships 2 makes the championship more equitable from the perspective of the number of games played 3 will give the munster and connaught championships a fresh injection whilst not taking too much away from the Leinster and Ulster championships

anything that balances the equation and makes the system more fair makes sence to me,it would make for some championship if each group of eight played each other in a league format with the top two from each group going into an open draw to play out the championship,it might be better than hanging around for 2 games in 18 weeks.
but as usual theres a but, will it happen,if they cant get the galway hurlers in from spendid isolation in the west and to cross the bridge at banagher in over the shannon to play in the leinster championship it might be hard to get 5 football counties to move to other provences.
new blood in provences mighten be a bad thing, you wonder how many more years you can get away with cork and kerry playing each other 4 times a year before it leads to contempt and bad feelings.

Fermanagh winning the Connacht title? That'd be a strange one.
I can't see how people are complaining about our easy run.....it was almost our downfall last year and was our downfall two years ago.

Long trip for Wexford to Kerry though

The pillar is dublins best manager. He came, saw he had a panel of province beaters and has won the 3 in a row. Job done....

The pillar is dublins best manager. He came, saw he had a panel of province beaters and has won the 3 in a row. Job done.... You'd better delete all those spring posts you made the last two years, the ones that keep saying "Laois have the best footballers in Leinster, Laois are more likely to win an All-Ireland" etc. Plus your comments about Meath being back. Or if what you keep saying is true, then Dublin must either have been very lucky, or have achieved something of real worth
