From gaa.ie www.gaa.ie/plugins/newsfeed.cgi?rm=content&plugin_data_id=20685Football fans in Kerry can breathe a sigh of relief after Colm Cooper revealed that rumours suggesting that he was about to take a prolonged break from the game were wide of the mark. The prolific attacker was expected to travel to Australia for a six-month holiday, missing out on the National League in the process. However, the 'Gooch' insisted that he will not follow the lead of team-mates Declan O'Sullivan and Paul Galvin, who extended their stay Down Under following a team holiday last year. "According to some of the media, you'd think that I was going to be traveling to every continent," Cooper told the Irish Independent. "Admittedly the break seemed to do Declan and Paul a lot of good. Declan had a fantastic year and Paul made a fantastic contribution to winning the All Ireland. "But I have no plans in that regard at all. It was also stated in the media that I would have remained on in Australia with Declan and Paul but for the fact that Dr Crokes were involved in the All-Ireland Club Championship. But similarly there was no truth in those reports," Cooper added.
