I wasn't at the game. Just listening to it on Kerry Radio. Seems like that the ref was not bad, he was just awful. But don't blame the ref like in the Rugby World cup, just blame the clowns that choose him. Kerry are looking stupid today, always complaining about inter-county refs, yet they cannot find a ref (or linesmen) capable of handling their county final. Perhaps they should get a Munster Inter county ref and officials. It is little wonder that Donnchda Walsh said on Radio on Saturday that a lot of refs (and it looked like he was referring to Kerry refs) didn't know how to use Black cards, look like at least one cannot keep time. if you weren't at the game you really cant comment on how god bad or indifferent the referee was! seamus is the best ref in the county all year but like some of the Kerry team in the all Ireland against Dublin he just had a bad day just happened to be the biggest game of the year for him and also his team of linesmen and umpires also seemed to pick the big stage to have a poor day! south Kerry to win the replay

Legion To Represent Kerry In Munster Senior Club Championship Monday, November 9th, 2015 at 11:40 am. Radio Kerry.
Yesterday’s drawn Garvey’s Supervalu County Senior Football Championship Final had raised the issue of whether they or County Club Championship victors Dingle would advance to Munster.
Legion will this Sunday play Nemo Rangers, at 2 in Cork.
Dingle manager Paul Fitzmaurice blames this situation on fixture congestion
Match details are to be finalised tonight for the County Final replay.
Legion and South Kerry must meet again over the weekend of November 22nd.
Also this evening, the draw for Round 2 of the County Senior Football Championship relegation play-off is to be made.
The four sides involved are Austin Stacks, St.Michaels Foilmore, Laune Rangers and Ardfert.
The losers of both matches will be relegated, with the victors to meet to decide which team survives in the Senior Championship.

Its going to be a long winter in South Kerry, with The Marys playing next weekend in Munster, the county final the following weekend then hopefully the start of the South Kerry championship the weekend after. Every year we moan about the fixtures pile up yet every year we do nothing about it.

I thought that if a club had not won the Co. Championship outright by the time of the Munster Club, then the Senior club champions would go forward. Kerrygold, your suggestion about having club and district teams on separate sides of the draw should be taken up asap.

Interesting that there has been no statement on the official Kerry GAA website at the time I write this but it is on the Munster GAA website.

That is a very good proposal. The team that wins the Club side would be Senior Club Champions and be assured of progress to Munster. There are I believe 9 districts. They could play in Championship 2 on a straight knock-out basis. That would, as you say, allow for the intermediate and junior championships to progress. In Championship 1, you could perhaps have some round-robin groups or a back-door of some description. That's the central theme, losers round in the senior club championship to run concurrently with the junior and intermediate progression rounds with the senior club, intermediate and junior champions all progressing to the Munster championships. No back door for the district teams but back to the clubs as it were. Everyone gets a chance to compete to play in the grand county final for the outright county championship. It would save a shed load of time and free up numerous weekends for the local district championships. Fully agree ballynamona -asp

so the longest standing club goes on to represent kerry in this instance?? what if legion happened to be playing another club in the co. final? what would be the case then. Dingle have every right to be aggrieved.

County Board should be highly embarrassed by this farce.

Kevin was in america for the summer so wasn't in the south kerry set up. Ciaran keating is also injured.

County Board should be highly embarrassed by this farce. two draws in the whole year. munster final and co. final... two draws and its all in chaos. its a bit nuts. Although having south kerry involved and the mary's in munster intermediate does complicate matters further

According to the Kerry Eolaire 2015 Killarney Legion should be preparing for a game with Nemo Rangers.

The current committee will surely have to walk when this season is over after this farce. Efforts to fix the county championship have only thrown it into more disarray. Pat the bag out

Why is nobody talking about the game? Who shone for ye? Agree, can we stop talking about controversies for a second and focus on the game itself and not the decisions the referee made

The kicking of Bryan Sheehan and Jamie O Sullivan yesterday was worth the entrance fee alone.Phenomenal. Was a great midfield battle between the two aswell.

Just out of interest for people who may know how up for playing the Munster championship were Dingle? Not always a given.

To be honest I think they should have kept that rule that when a club side meets a divisional side in the county final, the club side should represent Kerry in the club all Ireland. Legion are more worthy of representing Kerry at the moment but Dingles day will hopefully come next year or the year after. Their work at underage level deserves that and it will benefit Kerry for a good few years to come.

The current fiasco regarding representatives for the Munster Senior Club Championship highlights the huge fixtures problem we have in this county. The club game is a mere footnote on the current calendar and Kerry teams are the law when it comes to games being played. Admittedly this is a national problem and Croke Park needs to address the length of the inter county season and clearly define a season for the club player. What is evident from the County Board's decision to nominate Legion to represent the county is that the Senior Club Championship is simply a waste of time and effort. Legion could very well be beaten in the replay and yet could wind up Munster Champions having won no title in their own county. Then again when you see the current Munster Champions fighting tooth and nail at the arse end of the year to retain their Senior status you get an idea of the regard the County Board have for the club players.

I have been impressed the few times I've seen Jamie O Sullivan this year. I wonder would he be worth looking at by Eamon Fitz next year?

In the case of the Senior Football Championship, Kerry shall be represented by the longest standing club in the County Senior Football Championship with the following exceptions, where the county hall be represented by the winners of the Kerry Club Championship:
a)Where the County Championship is completed and won by a Divisional/Group Team. b) Where the County Championship is not completed and all Club teams have been eliminated.
The above is an extract from page 68 of the Kerry County Championship Regulations. So there is no case for Dingle’s involvement. Likewise the contributor who tries to lay the blame on one of the County committee for “this farce” is out of order. I ask that person, why not go for election within your club and then onto a county comm. OR is it easier to sit on the fence. Re the comment on the ref. If as someone said that “he is one of the best refs in the county” and he cannot keep time, God help us re the others refs. (Back to Donnacha Walsh’s comment on RTE Radio on Sat).
With Legion having a more difficult game V Nemo, than St Mary's V Corofin (Clare), I take South Kerry to win the replay.

We are making complete fools of our club players altogether.
