Glenbeigh/Glencar could be the surprise packet . Hard to see past Stacks or Crokes again . O'Rahilly's , Dingle , Legion , Waterville , and Kilcummin should be ok. Desmonds will struggle . Finuge , Foilmore , and Milltown will do well to stay up .

Depending on what way Crokes take the league - if seriously which they should do trying to build for the championship again they will win it. Think Finuge, Foilmore and Glenbeigh will come back down - Legion and Desmonds will surprise teams there this year I reckon

I agree with you on the first two but dingle should have too much talent to go down . I would put Foilmore ahead of them .

Even if Glenbeigh had all them available they would struggle...GG seem to have an air of greatness about them having blown the last 2 Junior Champs...to put it into contect they didnt win the Junior and will be competing against Senior Co Champ teams

with all crokes problems last year they still made the top 2, for 2015 crokes and stacks depending on there all Ireland adventure If not stacks, legion to contest the final with crokes, and I reckon maybe kor to be better this year than last yr, to be relagated desmonds, glenbeigh& bally&foilmore. This be a good division this year as the 3 teams that went up are stronger than the ones that went down.

This be a good division this year as the 3 teams that went up are stronger than the ones that went down. The teams that do well in the county league are those with strength in depth if you have county players/panellists and those whose plans are not scuppered end by having county players! Given that Kerrys finest will play about 2 games in the league the strength in depth factor really comes in; that's why I expect Crokes to be there or thereabouts given that they can still call on Ambrose, Eoin Brosnan, Looney, Gavin O'Shea, Mike Moloney & Tony Brosnan; conversely that's why I expect Legion to struggle with JO'D, Kelly, Lyne, Keane & Podge O'Connor all with Kerry & likewise GG who will have to learn to live life without Darran, Pa Kilkenny & maybe Gavan OGrady; Kilcummin got into the top 3 last year as only Brendan Kealy was involved with the county panel & was more than readily replaced by Shane Murphy. For me, it's Crokes/Stacks and possibly KOR who will not suffer the J1 exodus that ruined their season last year. As for relegation, Rathmore were possibly one of the best teams IMO to be relegated in recent times- twice championship winners in 2014 against Crokes plus O'Donoghue Cup winners should not have been accompanied by demotion.

Rathmore are definitely division one status you would expect them to win div 2 . I agree with the fact that the smaller clubs will struggle but i think even with a full team some teams will still struggle .

Anyone know where I can see the county league tables from last year? The new homepage design has taken away the ability to see tables from previous years.

Desmonds defeat Dingle 4:13 to 0:7. Good performance from the Desmonds, the game was really over as a contest at half time with Desmonds finding the net on 3 occasions. Thomas Hickey kicked most of the points along with 2 goald for Castleisland, against a weakened Dingle team without any of their Kerry panelists. It was a big team performance from Castleisland with Stan Divane, Tomas Lynch and Thomas Hickey standing out in particular. Desmonds stifling defense completely nullified the Dingle forward line, and it was that defense that formed the basis for the win. You couldn't read too much into this from a Castleisland point of view as Dingle were so depleted(I think they were without their Pobalscoil boys as well.)

Tommy Walsh got 1-6 for Strand Road against Finuge if I'm reading their twitter right.

Tommy was outstanding for Rahillys hitting 1-6 from Play and having a hand in most of the other scores; his kicking was excellent, some of the points off his left with his handling of a very high quality; his best position is most definitely on the edge of the square and while he will come up against stronger opposition than today's , it will take a good club full back to keep tabs on him. Others to impress were Con Barrett at midfield who fielded some great ball, David Moran, Barry John & David McLoughlin. Final score: 3-17 to 0-8.

No - he was not playing Tommy Walsh was very impressive - kicked points off both left and right. Not sure about his goal - BJ Keane may try claiming it. High ball in - Tommy went for it and it seemed to go in without contact. Defence focussed on Tommy rather than the ball.

Good day for Desmond's are they were the only team that you would expect to be around the bottom to win. Shows the difference when county players play, there are some big winning margins there

Milltown castlemaine put up a spirited battle against a strong crokes side in Lewis road. Crokes had a full pick with the gooch the obvious exception. The game was in the balance right up until the final minutes when a late daithi casey goal saw crokes run out 5 point winners. M/C really impressed me and were well drilled. Crokes never seemed to get going and had many poor performers including a childish straight red card for Ambrose Donovan with 10minutes left in the game, retaliating to a MC player by striking him. Kieran o'leary also received a black card late in the game. Cathal Moriarty shone for MC giving Alan o Sullivan a torrid afternoon. Donal Kelliher, Mike Burke and Shane Murphy all had decent games. Daithi casey caught the eye with a few lung bursting runs but his final pass let him down a number of occasions. O'Leary, Chris Brady and John Payne were Crokes best performers. Final score Crokes 2-10 MC 1-8. I wasn't taking down scores but Cathal Moriarty scored majority of MC scores including a penalty and a couple of frees. Chris Brady got one goal after good approach play by Eoin Brosnan and O Leary. Looney put Casey on his bike in the final minutes and casey after initially fumbling the ball finished to the net with a soccer style goal. A MC player went off with a head injury late in the game and looked like he was concussed, wish him all the best.

With Dynamos and Park playing each other yesterday as well, I think we can safely assume, Con Barrett has committed himself to the Strand Road cause this year after a number of years playing soccer, a great addition.

Yeah Con has been training since the start of the year. Could be a massive addition if he sticks with it. Very talented player - tall, rangy and pace to burn. Delighted to have him playing.

Con Barrett was always a talented player. I remember him playing for the Kerry minor team in Newcastlewest the year they lost to Roscommon. What ever came of Mark O' Sullivan (Boysie) I remember watching him at under 16 and minor level with Strand road and he looked the real deal. Strand road will be strong contenders for this years championship, Cormac Coffey is an addition they badly needed with their weakness seeming to be in the back line.

Boysie was away for a while but I met him over Xmas and he's back in Tralee now. I'm told he's playing a lot of soccer but involved with the football team at the moment. It would be great if he could be enticed back to playing because he was very, very talented. Looked in great shape when last I saw him too.

Any reports on games the weekend. Few shocks I hear. I cant report on Crokes game as I didn't travel to Waterville for the senior game I took the easy option of watching the junior team at home against Cordal, where they ran out 7 point winners in a great performance. From conversing with people who were at the game Crokes were comfortable throughout. Went in at the break a point down which was considered to be good with an extremely strong breeze in the second half. Jordan Kiely was the player to get notable mentions and he bagged a goal for himself with Chris Brady getting 2 goals.
