You obviously dont go to see many Emmets games so JD1 Agree with walter, was at the game on sunday and noel had little influence on the game, missed a few handy frees also. he'll be a loss no doubt but defo listowel are still in with a shout coz they've got a seriously solid defence, decent mid-field and some nippy forwards. was very impressed with listowel's full back.....great point towards the end of the game. He was named no. 3 but he played corner back...the one and only Mike "cookie" moroney!!

the migthy towm of listowel against the small parish from the west. was in moyvane last sunday a very poor game would have to tip annascaul after watching a poor (north kerry challenge) game. noel kennelly will be a massive loss he is at least worth 5 or 6 pointed frees outside of anything else for the townies.

I wasnt at the game last sunday but Noel Kennelly was "apparently" very poor. He still got half their scores and he has got half there scores in probably every game this year, in addition to what 2007champs said about him scoring frees I dont think they have a replacement free-taker of note either. They could do with him for his physical presence around the middle as well with the likes of Niall Sheehy and Kennedy there for Annascaul

jd1....you seem to have a severe bee in your bonnet about Listowel..... give it a rest man. You must have lost a few under 12 games to them or something.
Euronews: The intermediate final is on Sunday at 2pm in Austin Stacks Park....Should be a close game...everyone from the papers to radio kerry to this forum seems to be tipping Annascaul which does surprise me somewhat

Ya give it a rest my head is wrecked from responding to your childish carry on. Much more things to talk about in the GAA world than just Listowel.. i ve purposely tried to stay out of the north kerry championship thread as a lot of it is just pure narrow mindeness with people unable to have an form of discussion about the merits of individual teams with out throwing in a ball of horsesh**te about there home team.

It will be a very close game Annascaul to win if they have genie Kennelly a massive loss for Emmets especially for his freetaking ability

Seen in the paper during the week that Genie Farrell is only 50/50? If he is playing id fancy Annascaul just about. That said Listowel are a fast, pretty skillful team, with a bit of "North Kerry" style thrown in as well!
The conditions will play a big part I reckon, Listowel are physically stronger and would be more suited to a slower, harder game. No disrespect intended to Scanlon and McCarthy in full forward line. Annascaul will be hoping for dry, quick conditions. We played them a few years ago in Co. League and they tore us apart when they had space and time.
If I had to put my house on it, i'd go for the "Westies" by a point or two!

This was one bad game. The amount of possession Annascaul had that they couldn't turn into scores. They should have been out of sight at half time.5 times they hit the post. Listowel were beaten in every position pretty much.Guiney didn't want to know about it.The sideline had absolutely no confidence in their subs as seen by unwillingness to make subs. For instance,Annascaul Corner back was ok on Derek Galvin in 1st half, then skinned for 2 points in 1st 10 min of second half and he gets the curly finger.Listowel full back was struggling all day and left on.
On the up side Listowel had a young team. The six backs were all under 26 (including 2 minors& 2 21's)-Forwards had 3 U21's.So things look bright. However, these players need to get the best coaching they can and I don't think the current set up has the ability.

At this level of competition Clubs & managers need to look outside who their family/friends are and get the best backup team they can.

Congratulations to Annascaul. I think they can go a long way in the All-Ireland now, by the way would this clash with the West Kerry championship for them???

There was little between Ardfert and Annascaul in lasts years final......... the only difference was Ardferts ability to score goals.... three in that game.
Annascaul have every chance of going all the way

No, Dingle knocked them out of the WK championship last week. Annascaul were missing Genie and few others.
