Last post before the game. Prediction Kerry 1- 15 Dublin 1-10. Kerry to win by 5-6 points is 12/1 with Boyles. I'll be throwin a score on that. I think we will play a two man full forward line of gooch and star. If we give good variable ball in we should have no problem. Low diagonal ball in to gooch and high ball in to star that he can run on to not high ball that is over his head forcing him to back peddle like what happened against Monaghan.
Up the kingdom

I've never put money on Kerry but I think 12/1 odds for a Kerry win of 5 to 6 points are very tempting. I have a very good feeling about tomorrow. All the Dubs I work with think they will walk it.... I think the real strength is on our bench and if the weather holds up we will need them all.

Right, I'm out the gap in the morning on the 08.25 train from Galway. Armed with the Tribune, a coffee and a croissant, I'll have to seriously refrain from chatting to total disinterested strangers about the imminent battle. Here's hoping that my eager anticipation won't be overshadowed by that niggling feeling of doubt and that I'll be a much happier, even mildly complacent, girleen on the return journey at 20.40.
Go n-éirí an saol 's an aimsir le foireann na ríochta amárach.
Let the battle commence...

If anybody reads Liam Hayes in today's Sunday Tribune they will have huge problems sleeping from the angst his article causes.
We'll discuss that on Monday. All I know is, I spent half the day at the event I was working at playing through possible scenarios we could face. I've never been this nervous ahead of a non All Ireland final in my life.
Need to go for a few whiskeys to help me sleep tonight. Up at half seven for the minor match and to see the team arriving during the minor game.
Come on the Kingdom!!
Ps, expect another post after the whiskeys!! Liam Hayes has me that wound up.

I just read the article by Hayes - what a b.....d. Here is a portion of it -
"The Kingdom no longer rules. It's finished, it's kaput. There is no such place worthy of . . . and living up to - this mighty name anymore, and the GAA has lost its most prized territory."
My blood is boiling - he that has the power of the pen and he writes such BS - ' Will someone please go hit him a hard slap....
Come on lads - show him how to do it - I want this victory more than anything.....
Ciarrai Abu gach nomeid, gach la, gach blianta...................

it's 12:09 here in San Diego and I can imagine the fans now waking, brushing off the dust from the prior night's activities... wetting the lips for the breakfast and a pint....
all I can ask from these many miles aways - lads please scream your heads off...in support of this great team for the 70 plus minutes
Ciarrai Abu....
