I'll have Hickey & Whelo (both Raheny, my home place!)
Of Cork, I'd say JBM & T McCarthy

Of the current batch: Sherlock is still playing great stuff after all these years.
Cork? Nic Murphy is outstanding in most games. Gets the nod from me. When Darren Fay bounced off him yesterday before the fisted point that sums it up.

Fair enough, I'd have alot of time for Jayo. Murphy is some player alright, but dont really know enough about him, in & out of football

Dublin...Ciaran Whelen shades it..Jayo deserves loads of praise for his persistance and honesty..Griffin deserves a mention too..
Cork..Anthony Lynch because you know he only ever wants to play football and hardly ever gets involved in antics.. Nicholas Murphy is my second favorite player..and not behind Lynch by much really.. Deserves a lot of praise as he is the engine of the team.. His influence will have to restrained (again) if Cork are to be beaten in the final..

Thought it would be Canty.... You mean you're not sure who your favourite us? No point in asking us!

Rashers, I was just saying Canty cos in the other topic about transfers from other counties, most of them had said Canty. I do like Canty, but then again it could be the good Bantry breeding in him. (and 50% of me!)

Always thought Eoin Sexton was a great player for Cork in his day so id probably give it to him. For the Dubs.......i would of said Alan Brogan before the Laois game but not for kicking a man while he was down by taunting the Laois lads.Probably give it to Griffen now, good honest player dosnt get involved in cr*p. what happened to yourman 'Shocko' that played for ye afew years ago at corner back rashers?thought he was a very good player.

Very good question! I too thought Shocks would become a permanent feature, he is a very fast, tough & brave player with superb timing & tackling in the mould of Mick Holden, or Mick Deegan. He got a bad shoulder injury which kept him out of it for quite a while, he had other injuries too. Then this year he fell out with management (allegedly) over going on tour with the All-Stars (I think, or maybe just going on holidays?) when there was a challenge or O'Byrne Cup match We could really do with him, I'd have him in ahead of Griffin on this year's form

Nope, I never said that! I could name who I actually like (there is more than one) but it wouldn't be very diplomatic of me.

It's a simple question, simple answer required, who has been your favourite player(s), and as you may have noticed above, it includes players from all teams in our lifetimes

No Rashers, I mean enjoy watching play football. In recent years, McMahon, Canty, Spillane, Nicholas Murphy, Masters, Corkery etc etc etc. Up and coming Cadogan, but not sure if he'll pick hurling or football. My memory is crap so don't ask me about players from my youth!

Canty is a hell of a player hes like two men in the full back line.
Nicolas Murphy is a fine player also.
On the Dublin team I would rate Griffin and Alan Brogan though his younger brother is doing well also (isn't their mother from Kerry thats where they got the football!! )
