Would anyone have a recording of the drawn match and replay from 2004? I was out of the country but would love to see the matches. Any info on where I could get them would be appreciated.
Thanks

Scoobydo - I dont have a recording of the first game I think but the second game wasnt even on TV. Apparently this was the reason for the bigger than usual crowd in Killarney that day.

Spot on Buck. Unfortunately the replay clashed with the Ulster and Leinster finals, or a replay of one and the final in the other and as a result RTE didn't broadcast it live on TV. However, they did have cameras there and did a full recording of the match, so you should be able to purchase them from the archives in RTE Scooby.

The fact it wasnt on TV was probably the reason for the big crowd and excellent atmosphere that day.

The 1st Limerick game had some intensity. Really made us battle hardened.

Ok it was live on d'internet which could account for about 10 people. Reasons probably being: It was in the middle of a heat wave - people probably went to the beach instead. I actually think that was the last fine day we had! It was on all the way down in Cork. People were afraid of the 40 minute - 2 hour drive in that heat, depending on where you are in Kerry!

The first match was some craic. Tommy Griffin had some game that day when he came on.
The second game was the best Kerry support I've seen at any match. The fans turned Killarney into a cauldron and really lifted the team.

The replay in Killarney was one of two critical points for Kerry - that and the Armagh match. I've never been at a more heated Kerry match than the replay against Limerick. Even my own father and mother, usually very even keeled during a match let rip half way through the first half - and the chat of 'Kerry, Kerry" that went around the grounds was a first in my 20 years going to a game at the time.....

Liam Kearns done a great job there at limerick when you consider that some of them players who played for limerick wouldnt get next or near a kerry senior team!
